Nothing new about stacked discs in this one. I bought it in Berlin last year and the discs were stacked in pairs.

Wait, so not only do we have to buy a steelbook if we want this, but they’ve put it in the packaging that scratches your discs so they won’t even work after a couple of watches?

I ordered the German version of Apocalypse Now, and that had German hardcoded subtitles on some of the extras, like with an interview with Francis Ford Coppola, is this standard practice when it comes to releasing English language movies in other territories, to put hardcoded local regional language subs on the extras. I had to order the Spanish version of Lawrence of Arabia so am wondering if i will have to deal with that on this release? or is it a case by case basis.

I cancelled my original order and ordered it again with the code, saved £10, here's hoping they don't cancel our orders because they sell out their stock.

I got the previous reissue (which doesn’t have stacked discs), but I’m surprised this isn’t at least available through an Allied Vaughn MOD release like a lot of Sony 4Ks.

Mine always said September 11th, and it says the same date with my new order, even though it says it's releasing August 29th in Spain, maybe we will receive it earlier than expected.

Same. I’m cautiously optimistic as unlike this recent mess with Arrow stuff, they’ve removed the listing from search results and when you go to it from your orders says ‘currently unavailable’ so they’re not just taking a billion pre-orders for like 1000 units

NB. This is probably from Sony Video Unlimited 4K. This service closed in 2017 and was available on some of their UHD players. It's a predecessor to Bravia Core, in a way.

Got the Nordic edition delivered to me today from this reprint batch.

Stacked discs too unfortunately. Looks like they just took the global edition and slapped on a Nordic J-card to make it "Nordic". The discs have DE/FR/UK/... age recommendations printed on them.

Still happy that I finally got a copy since it's been out-of-print for quite some time. Looking forward to watching it.

Oddly the steelbook LoA has that missing Taxi Driver shot inserted, right after Lawrence gives his pistol to his Bedouin guide. Very avant-garde.
