For me, J-cards get cut down to fit the deets inside the Steelbook like an insert. I have a paper cutter to ensure things look nice. I use open-spine protector slips instead of boxes to allow quick access and easy reading, but don't like the J-card obscuring the art. (450+ Steelbooks) Just my preference for my shelves.

I either fold the j-cards up and place inside or keep them attached. They do provide some protection from scratches on the shelf.

Plastic sandwich bags with the card sticking out.

A stupid storage solution for a stupid type of packaging.

Steelbooks are cancer.

I got the dispatch email about the 4K steelbook of LoA from Amazon UK today. My copy is expected to arrive on my doorstep between now and Saturday. I'm so excited to get it into my hands.

Wow. Thanks guys. Actual US copies. Overpriced, not for the current market, but still. I paid 30 for this last November. I'll take it. Wanted a copy for my dad.

This will sell out again, and THEN the prices will be much more overpriced.

Seeing a lot of fans on this thread still scrambling for a 4K copy of this classic film when they are released in these short run batches leaves me shaking my head as to the whats and whys they only release it this way. They may think its short supply feeds a bigger demand but I think it leaves a lot of fans feeling shortchanged and frustrated because of the limited availability and high cost.

I'm still bitter that I paid $27 through Amazon a couple of years ago during a price drop and held it in my hands but it was this:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...8#post21506988

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...0#post21582540

Couldn't exchange it because there was no more available and wasn't able to get a raincheck for what I paid so had to settle for a refund nor have I seen it for that price since. Sure, I could chase after it every time it gets re-released but out of principle I refuse to pay anything more than $27 because I already paid that amount for it but received a severely damaged product because it couldn't be shipped in proper packaging to protect a steelbook. I've also kind of lost all desire to procure my own copy after the above-referenced shipping debacle.

Still, kudos and happy watching to all of you who are finally getting your copies!

Well it releases today in Spain, i'm glad there are a few more options popping up to buy it online. I'm waiting to see if they dispatch my order. On Amazon Spain it said it was out of stock on the 28th, now it shows it in stock again but it says it will be delivered 1st october if you were to order it now, so i guess they are expecting to get more stock in.

Did they jump up and down on it? did you bang the postmans wife or something to make them do that? You say you got a refund, did you manage to watch the movie or were the discs damaged?

I hate Steelbooks, i don't know why they are a thing, i had a steelbook of this anime called Appleseed and that got dented somehow while in my possession.

My LoA 4K steelbook order has just cleared customs in the northside of Dublin earlier this evening.

It will be great to see this arrive on a Friday night delivery.
