Are you suggesting that all computer monitors, regardless of resolution, panel bit depth, FRC (or not) enabled), gamut, pixel depth and density produce the exact same image? And we are not even addressing OS platforms and graphic cards, never mind how an image was secured, file history and so on.

No matter how different our hardware setups are, if andreas and I both take a screenshot from MPC via MadVR, and saved it at a relatively high quality JPEG or a PNG, any other differences will be so negligable they won't be perceptable. I know how images work, man.

You make completely unsubstantiated statements about image quality and then you accuse others of being 'pedantic' when they expose the flaws, not in only the process but also the basic assumption of your argument, i.e., the ability of a static screenshot taken from a PC to serve as a benchmark.

Based on your statements, you are obviously posting far beyond your depth, which seems limited to downloading a software program and pressing a key.

On the other hand, when you put it out there that the UHD is botched and produces an inferior viewing experience in comparison to the streaming file, and then become defensive when a few simple question are asked about the process and how you arrived at your conclusions, well, it doesn't seem like fair play.

After all, you are aware that actual people did the work to produce the UHD?

But you don't have to take my word for it, any of the above, or anything else I've posted on the subject.

As I suggested, why not 'upload' your findings to Sony and give them the opportunity to review and reply to your 'discoveries.'

I'm sure we can all agree, it's only fair play.

Without watching the video there might actually be some validity to it since it is talking about Video Games. Many games are still doing fake HDR.
