Just got mine and checked the special feature disc, it is the corrected version . A list of what was missing is on the digital bits review.

Currently, I only have the Blu-ray edition. Have they fixed the fluttering in the blue sky during one of the desert scenes? I understand it was like that on the original negative due to the film being in the heat of the desert.

So the only way to get the UHD Blu-ray of Lawrence of Arabia is to get the whole Collection Box with random picked other UHD BDs???

I can only call this what it is: extortion!

On the other hand I'm more than willing to pay for a UHD David Lean collection:

- The Bridge on the River Kwai
- Lawrence of Arabia
- Doctor Zhivago (!!!)
- A Passage to India

Either that or single releases, please!

There was a survey and blabbity blabbity. Just go online and buy it or get it from one of the people from this forum OR wait for the slowly eventual individual releases. I don't see why there's any need to be so overly upset about this at all.

I wouldn't call extortion, but I also didn't want the other movies* either. So I bought the set, created an ebay account and sold them in a few days.

I paid $108 (with tax) for the box set from Amazon.
I sold Dr. Strangelove almost immediately for $28
Jerry Maguire sold next for $20
The Baseball movie sold for $17
Gandhi for $15
Mr. Smith for $9

28+20+17+15+9 = 89; Let's say shipping materials and extra charges I lost $5, so I made $84 back. $108 - $84 = $24 which is a reasonable price for Lawrence of Arabia and I have large book to go with it lol.

If you have more patience then me you might hold out longer and get better prices. If you want it bad enough and really don't want the other titles you can put in some work and make it worth it.


*I wouldn't mind Dr. Strangelove on 4k, but I didn't feel like keeping it for $28 dollars.

Don't forget about eBay final value fees, paypal transaction fees, shipping postage, and your time to pack and mail. I agree you can get Lawrence for a good price though if you're willing to do the legwork. Glad it worked out for you
