Like many here, I'd also like to get the Lawrence of Arabia UHD version. Also like many here, I don't want to buy that big collection set of movies just for the one I would like.

And, like a majority of those who are waiting for the signal UHD Blu-ray of Lawrence of Arabia; I too already own this on a fantastic Blu-ray edition I bought some years ago.

That Blu-ray edition by the way is fantastic on it's own merits at the time it was released and still holds up today.

I've only watched that Blu-ray edition of it once. To hold me over till the UHD version arrives, I'm sure watching that same Blu-ray edition again will prove to be a fantastic experience enough to keep me satisfied till it's reissued again as a signal UHD release.

Agree. I have no interest in the others or in wasting time trying to sell the others individually in the hopes of making it worthwhile.

When will Lawrence get a solo 4K release ??? Next year for the 60th Anniversary ? Is that Necessary ??? We want it now. I'm sure it will sell. You have to buy a box of movies you don't like just to get Lawrence of Arabia in 4K UHD ?? No Way.

I would never recommend buying digital versions as the A/V performance is normally lesser and you actually don't "own" anything. It's a lease agreement that can be pulled at any time.

I'm sure this title, among the ones in the Columbia Classics set, will be released individually on 4k Blu-ray. Sit tight. It's worth the wait.

How much is it on sale for? It is one of the best movies of all-time. I would recommend seeing it as soon as possible no matter what the medium. You should at least rent it or see if your local library has the current BD, which is fantastic.

I cannot stress enough how fantastic a film it is.

Wait for an individual release. Unless if you don't care at all having it physically.
Yes, the boxset was perfectly alright for my collection since I wanted all six titles anyway. Others obviously don't.

Well, since the UK version of the Columbia Classics 4K set is sold out atm, there will be a possibility, so Jerry Maguire should get a standard 4K release maybe in December this year for its 25th anniversary, and Gandhi and A League of Their Own will probably get standard 4K releases next year.

^^^ Couldn't disagree more. Watch one of the greatest movies ever made as soon as possible. $7 is less than the cost of a movie ticket. You'll be happy you watched it and happy to upgrade to the (as yet unannounced) stand-alone physical release when it comes.

For 7 bucks, if you want to watch it now, go for it. You can always buy the disc later.

Get it on Vudu and watch in Apple or Movies Anywhere, where the bit rates are likely higher.

I'd cherish a UHD of this film, but I wonder if Sony is holding their Columbia 'Classics' for their new Bravia streaming service. Only available on their new tv's.

I'm still waiting for the individual release of this. Same for Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

I'm going to say that even if you have never seen some of the other titles in that set or even knew about a few of them before, they ranged from good to fantastic bonafide classics. The picture and audio quality were superlative on each and every title. It's amazing what they could do with the Atmos remixes given the limited stems they had to work with on a three of them.

When Volume 2 comes out... pounce on it.

I’m really glad they released like this honesty. Strangelove and Lawrence are must owns for me. Mr. Smith I may not have upgraded, but at the price for the package it was a good deal. Gandhi I’d never seen and I may never have watched had it not been in this set and... wow! I’ve been missing. The other two? Whatever. Cheap enough when you consider the box sets per item price.

If it comes it will probably be this summer or fall. Volume 1 seems to have sold well, so I would assume Sony will see that as a green light for more sets.
