Probably depends on how well your tv/player combo handles hdr10.

Lawrence's audio was remixed and rebuilt when they did the 1989 restoration, and that's what that LaserDisc has, albeit in matrixed 2.0. So the Sony 5.1 is "original" in so much as it's a discrete rendition of that 1989 6-track mix, but it's not THE original mix as heard in 1962.

I don’t know. But I assume it’s the same discs from the Columbia Collection. On that point I watched the 4K SDR stream a while back and it genuinely does have sharper detail and virtually no grain, it finally felt like I was watching a 65mm source whereas the UHD with the surprisingly prominent grain and filtered detail is like watching a 35mm reduction. I prefer the colour of the HDR though, so I remain conflicted.
