They attribute it largely to early testing. Apparently, the first reliable test for COVID-19 was developed in Germany.

My last post regarding the wearing of masks by healthy people. A question: How is the virus spread?? Here's the answer.

The important point here for the wearing of masks is the first one. It is spread by tiny droplets of water that you expel when you cough or sneeze. If you are a healthy person and somebody with the virus sneezes within about six feet of you, the virus will, potentially, be on you. It's potentially on your clothes, your skin and in your eyes. The mask has done NOTHING.

For those of you pointing to countries like South Korea as examples. Why did the masks help those countries?? Everybody had to wear a mask. This has led to the assumption that it kept healthy people protected but that is wrong. What it did is helped to keep some of those droplets from being released into the air when people that had the virus but didn't know it coughed or sneezed out in public. In other words, the sick people wearing masks is what helped. This is exactly what the WHO says...that if you're sick, wear a mask.

I can't make it any simpler. If you are healthy and wearing a mask, you are keeping those masks from the people that need them. My mom was a nurse and her mom before her. That's why this is important to me.

What a great idea...hire the most expensive company on earth to manufacture something...

They currently charge £299 ($365) for a hairdryer...

As long as they are reliable, dependable & effective it's a great thing to do. They are undeniably in high demand. Hopefully the company doesn't price gouge.

Always have good hygiene, maybe miss a shower or two if I haven't done anything strenuous throughout the day. Having said that, I don't remember a time in my life where I have been so conscious of keeping my hands clean. This coronavirus doesn't bother me that much, but man has it made me pay attention to just how many different hands touch everyday things.

We might be a more hygienic society because this, it'll likely he the only positive to come out of such a pandemic.

That fact that hospitals are maxed at capacity means that the number of people being hospitalized is voluminous!! That's a cause for concern!

80% is a pretty high number, no? of course there is still risk you could be in that 20% but odds are in your favor. stay positive!

Respiratory droplets are also emitted from simple breathing or talking (although they are tiny and can't be felt), thus a big reason why people need to stay 6 feet apart. Something which is impossible to do in grocery stores for example.
