Why aren't these liquor stores grabbing the good stuff for the customers, bringing it out to them, and charging them inside? The customer would never have to venture inside the store, thus keeping the capacity for contamination way down? Wear gloves and a mask, and the capacity drops further? Cmon folks, we're 'Muricans! We can do this.

Here in NM gas stations are allowed to sell hard liquor and beer with the only restriction having to do with distance to a school. And gas stations are exempt from closures. They are deemed essential. Liquor stores are not.

I guess you could call in an order and pay over the phone then do a curbside P/U. Most liquor stores here are local businesses so they probably are not equipped to do orders through a website. I suspect most if not all will close.

Again, most people only bought a couple weeks' worth. It's a few hoarders and Ebay sellers that bought dozens at a time that ruined it for the rest of us. There's nothing wrong with buying a 2-3 week supply when you're in the middle of an emergency. There is something wrong with filling your cart full of it to sell at 10x the price on Ebay.

Remember they are now telling us not to go into grocery stores for the next two weeks, as this is the critical stage where the curve may be approaching peak. So it's not at all unreasonable that people were shopping for a couple weeks at a time. We had no idea from one day to the next how stock would hold up, or what the officials would be telling us.
This shortage isn’t even because of hoarders at this point it’s the fact that shitting at work is at an all time low. The country has toilet paper it’s just the cheapest worst quality single ply stuff employers usually stock from distributors.

Check WM's site, was surprised to see several in stock. Major brands too. I contemplated ordering, but I probably won't need any for a while based on the TP calculator.

She probably got it before she started being real careful. Says she showed symptoms on March 16th.

Ya some people in the comments were saying that, but others were saying something about the dates wasn't right. Who knows.

Those of you quarantined without kids, how is it? Is it relaxing? Are there naps? Can you just do what you want all day? Talk dirty to me, tell me about the good times...

There are indeed naps...

Lots of day drinking also.

That was life before quarantine. Not much has changed since the pandemic settled in, except for the imminent threat of homelessness and death.

Sleeping in every day. Fatty breakfasts and coffee all morning every morning. Two, three, four movies watched in a day. Naps if I really feel like it. A chance to read some awesome books that have always just kinda sat there untouched. A chance to listen to the music that's always begged to be heard. A chance to binge on video games for hours at a time.

Oh sure, I could do something important, like spring cleaning, reorganizing, and fixing things. I mowed my front lawn already. Will regularly take a walk and groom myself. Will clean the house, do the laundry, and the dishes if it all really bothers me. But most of it can wait. Even the grocery shopping can wait. The only real work that vexes me right now is writing a novel, but I've made more progress on it now than before.

My 45 year old son lost his job 2 weeks ago.

I am now getting schooled on wrestling, comic books and obscure movies on an hourly basis. I used to take a 2 to 4PM nap but no longer due to schooling. The trade off is twice daily foot rubs. I can live with that.

An influential COVID-19 forecasting model (how many days until the peak in terms of resources and deaths) is put out by University of Washington and is constantly updated in real time by real data with projections (based upon full social distancing thru May 2020, see FAQ, also note you can cursor on the graph and scroll right for precision). In the drop down menu, you can plug in your particular state or country and even check out different parameters, e.g. beds, ICU beds, ventilator predications as you scroll down - https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-of-america

12 hours of Netflix a day keeps the coronavirus at bay.

Alberta projections are 1 million infected by June?

Good news, they're only predicting 3000ish deaths.

Due to the financial and economic contraction, I think that the movie industry in general will see many cancelled projects, which may disappoint fans of film. I think that we may never see many new films for the next two years.
