Went to the store today, wanted to grab some hand soap, it was all out.

Ordered some off Amazon, yeesh. Hopefully it will get here before I run out, at least the amount I have should last me 4-6 weeks.

LOL I don't use bar soap. I wash my body with body wash and I wash my hands with liquid soap. Just bought 34 ounce thing of hand soap from Target for in-store pick-up which should guarantee I have enough till my Amazon order gets here. I'll go get that thing on Tuesday on my way back from getting that weekly care package from work and my Tuesday run.

Okay, I figured it was maybe personal preference.

I mean, worst-case, just "settle" for some bar soap and lather away. But the idea that there would be no soap to be found, period....oy vey!

Not sure if it's a water pressure thing or not, but the thought of not having bar soap isn't very appealing.

Dr. Deborah Birx Says Social Distancing Must Continue Through Summer Months

Quote:
White House coronavirus response coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx said social distancing will continue through the summer months, noting that many governors understand the process of reopening must be very gradual.

Birx responded Sunday morning to Vice President Mike Pence's prediction last week that the worst of the coronavirus pandemic will largely be over by Memorial Day after Meet the Press host Chuck Todd incredulously asked: "This Memorial Day 2020? Is that realistic?" The immunology and global health expert said current U.S. tracking models "give us great hope" that COVID-19 cases and deaths will be waning by the May 25 holiday weekend. But she said social distancing practices must be maintained through the entire summer to help prevent any potential outbreaks of COVID-19.

Surprisingly hand soap and soap bars were easy to get from Amazon. But toilet paper... now THAT was challenging.

Well whatever the case is, I truly believe we’ll somehow get through this. Whether it be because we found a vaccine, the warm weather will kill the virus or enough people would have the antibodies already to prevent another outbreak.

If you think this is some special virus that is just going to doom us all, then continue to believe that if it helps you sleep better at night. But for me, I want to try and stay positive and believe that there is some light at the end of this tunnel.

Social distancing means stay away from other people, it doesn't mean you can't go outside.

How on earth can you go outside and stay 6 feet away from others. That’s impossible!

To be fair, that does seem to be the mindset of most people who either don't know what social distancing means or don't care.

Ok, then please tell me how I can keep 6 feet apart if I go outside and this is what it looks like ...

What???? Remember when Underworld said just last week anyone can go out and avoid anyone over the age of 50 at will!

And yeah, it's kind of impossible. Especially if you're like me and work at say, FedEx, and have like 70 people working together. The extreme volume they're forcing us to push in the mere 3 hours our shift is, leads to people having to pile into those trucks to unload and load those things as fast as possible.

I am up in a tower sorting the boxes, but the person across the belt from me isn't six feet away at all.
