I really hope you don't actually think he has the virus, and you're just being playful. He's being overly melodramatic as per usual. This is the flu and cold season. People are sniffling, coughing, and sneezing everywhere, but no, MrHT is "screwed" because somehow he works in an office where everyone apparently has the ****ing Coronavirus.

Allergies causes sneezing and sniffling too. People assuming its the Coronavirus just from those are ridiculous.
He needs to be tested, and his coworkers too.

However, my company has begun shutting down locations and stopping all employee travel between locations. Also, they want all employees who are going on vacations to do a two week quarantine at home before coming back into work.
From the data so far if you are under 10 the thing is less dangerous then the flu with very few to no kids becoming deathly ill from it. If you are 20 to like 40 the mortality rate is about .2% which is around 10 times more deadly then the flu. if you are over 40 then your risk rate starts doubling or tripling for every decade older you are. As far as what percent of cases are going to require hospitalization that is kind of hard to know at this point. Its actually really hard to know what percentage of people will need hospitalization at this point (where do you draw the line life or death take a chance or ease your suffering) but with a mortality rate of 3.6% it will probably end up with like 10% to 20% needing hospitalization perhaps more.

Are you going to movie theaters less to limit your risk? We usually eat out and go to the movies on the weekends... we're rethinking that now. There are cases in our county, though, so it feels close to home.

This is what I'm talking about. The actual death rate is probably on par with the regular flu because the official numbers are only counting known confirmed cases that have been tested. There are probably lots of people that have it, not unlike every other flu, and recover from it on their own.

I just want this thing to go ahead and spread everywhere so we can move on from it. Cause daddy needs his toilet paper. If there's one thing I make sure to never run out of its TP.

Not only do we have to worry about bed bugs when going to the cinema/restaurants.. now we have to worry about coronavirus.

I wonder if we have a designated survivor, like some small island or country these things can't reach so humanity doesn't get wiped out.

Some of those apocalyptic movies seem to feature one. I bet we secretly have them set up already.

Unless you are in poor health to begin with, I don't see any reason to do anything drastically-different from your normal routine. You would just practice the same care and caution you should be doing anyway.

That said, I don't have faith in people to not spread it. People are gross. I was in the restroom at a local grocery the other day and the manager, who everyone knows, was finishing his business as I was coming in. And, he just leaves. Doesn't even turn the faucet on to give the illusion that he gives a sh*t after giving a sh*t.

He couldn't/wouldn't even let the shame of having another person know that he has ass on his hands detain him from his busy schedule. He was probably oblivious to it all, in general.

The movies themselves are keeping me out of the theater, not a virus.
