Florida spring-breakers test positive for coronavirus

At least five students from the University of Tampa have tested positive for coronavirus after traveling with other students from the school for spring break, the university announced on Twitter. This comes after crowds of spring-breakers in Florida were criticized for ignoring social distancing guidelines and packing beaches in complete disregard of the potential risk.

Valuable? I think it. More like disturbing. I would guess that at least 75% of all flights have been cancelled. That would be domestic and international

Currently, they have nailed down that the virus transmits through oral discharge (mainly through saliva). It doesn't yet have any airborne capability. That means a couple of things:

-If someone coughs or sneezes, they better do it into a mask or a tissue, or immediately wash their hands if they do it into it

Thank you very much for your empathy, although notice to others - I don’t think my family situation will be unique in that eventually over time I wouldn’t be surprised if (like cancer) pretty much everyone will personally know of someone who has gotten sick, to one degree or another, from coronavirus or else delayed medical care affecting their other medical illnesses due to the triaging for COVID-19, unless everyone (especially the negligent beachgoers, etc. in this and other countries who I saw on TV last night) complies with the social distancing and hand washing guidelines.

In terms of the later, and frequent use of hand sanitizers when soap and sink are not around, I’ll share another practical little tip.

Frequent hand washing may well produce dry, cracked skin due to the nature of the process. Doctors, in particular busy surgeons, doing multiple cases/day are particularly prone to this problem. The best product I can recommend to combat the dry, irritated skin is Aquaphor. You only need to apply a small amount and work it in by rubbing your hands together, plus it’s a good idea to apply it as a ritual at bedtime if one’s daytime schedule precludes its use then.

unfortunately, the economic recession/depression is going to affect infinitely more lives globally once this virus is contained. i dont know why that isnt being discussed more but voluntarily collapsing our economy is going to be way more disastrous than anything this virus will do to us.

Nobody has but themselves to blame. It's been said repeatedly on the news to stay at home and if you have to go out, maintain social distancing. Nobody listens and because of that, the virus still continues to spread. This is a team effort and as long as everyone won't work as a team, the longer this pandemic will last...

That's the problem with the world today. People are selfish and only think of themselves. They don't care that their actions affect others.
