I've been wearing gloves but masks are hard to obtain. The Super from my building was able to get some from the hardware store he buys from. I basically wear the masks for a little peace of mind but I know they don't offer real protection. Gloves don't either but as long as I don't touch my face I'll be fine.

Yes, masks made a huge difference there. They were able to provide for the general public due to have enough manufacturers there already making them and they limited exports to meet demand.

There was an article from Variety that said Netflix streaming traffic are at an all-time high on AT8T networks

https://variety.com/2020/digital/new...us-1203543218/

Netflix has had to throttle their traffic in a few countries due to the high level of streaming right now too.

Did you read the article?

They had 2 days of "all time high" traffic. That's what they're basing the headline (and that entire article) on.

2 days.

And they're giving no specifics on it either. No actual data. Just "all time high."

From some expert scientists it's possible that 40 to 70% of the global population could be infected @ the end.

If you are a smoker now is a good time to quit, this thing will kill ya.
And if you are a heavy drinker now is a good time to ease down.

Stay safe everyone, stay home, watch movies on Blu-ray 4K and 3D if you still have one of those or a 3D front projector. Don't drink and watch.

I mean, logically speaking here, why wouldn't it be higher now? Just because it's not reaching all time highs everyday does not in any way mean traffic isn't up in general. If Netflix is up like crazy in Europe, India, etc..to the point where Netflix had to reduce traffic by 25%, there's really no reason that's not happening in the US either. Your article focused primarily on audio/music streaming, it mentioned video on demand in one tidbit of it, and I'm not even sure if that was even counting streaming services like Netflix.

I know. It's strange. That said, I just binge-watched my first show and found it utterly boring to have to sit through 10+ hours of one thing over a few days, even though I (mostly) enjoyed the show. Give me movies any day.

Tampa Bay Times headline I think needs emphasis:

"Social Distancing Doesn't Mean Socializing While Standing Six Feet Apart"

Well I live here and I'd believe it.

The public transport systems are so over-crowded here this thing would've been going through the population like a bullet and most crowded business's/schools etc only really closed less than a week ago.

Of course I am talking London and the other major cities, but that is where most of our population is.

I'm terrible at binge-watching, unless the season, and episode length is short enough. With longer stuff, I just like to let an episode "breathe" a bit in my head before going on to another or two. I try to mix it up, watching lighter stuff like Nailed it, or a travel show or something, and then watch a drama (re-watching Ozark right now leading up to S3) later on.

Does the US have the highest case of “young adults” with Coronavirus compared to other countries? Saw on the news about 51% in CA alone are between 18-40, while the US as a whole was like 30% or something.

Guess there’s still lots of young adults in the US that are still not taking this seriously and they’re the ones now getting it.

I could watch my favorite sitcoms (or have them on in the background) all day. But sitting down to watch a drama that's 10+ hours of just one story line just bores me to tears. I can't wait for it to end.
