In Marin County California, they closed motorized access to the parks and open spaces but people can still use the parks. I'm staying on the fire roads though (there are plenty here), rather than single track trails, because of social distancing.

I mean I can run behind my house but it's a huge pain to run there because it's weak sand and hilly.

South Africa being South Africa... they went straight to their Army to enforce their 21 day lockdown.

No alcohol sales, jogging, or dog walking.

Why no alcohol sales? If anything, now is the time people will need something to get them through the long days of breaking all the other rules.

Holland America cruise lines is conducting a very strange experiment. MS Zaandam has 4 dead from coronavirus, 138 infected, and they're moving healthy people (after 5 days) to a different cruise ship MS Rotterdam.

There's almost no way this ends well. I really thought the Grand Princess would have set the example of getting them off the ship. MS Zaandam is still stranded at sea.

Oh and Holland America is a subsidiary of Carnival Cruise Lines, which also owns Grand Princess and Diamond Princess, so I have no idea why they're doing this - other than if the ship isn't allowed to dock in Florida as planned.

Funny thing...as an avid cruiser whose been on more cruises honestly than I could count. There were a few times where you'd be on your balcony listening to the crashing waves and thinking if the world was to ever end, it'd be nice to be somewhere on the ocean - of course a pandemic wasn't part of the thinking.

Why are people still taking cruises? It's not an essential business. Those people are basically asking for the virus.

This one set sail March 7, six days before the worldwide shutdown. It was already at sea. It has been traveling port to port looking for a place to dock, and was set to dock in Florida but I guess that's not going to happen.

Although yea I think its fair to say the cat was out of the bag at that point.

So the bill finally passed in the US today. I'm in Alabama and we will be doing a 2 week layoff starting Monday. I expect it to be longer. Who knows. My question is, max unemployment is $275 in Alabama per week. With the extra $600 being added. Which they say could take weeks to finally kick in. Will they back pay you the $600? Everything is so confusing. I can't find any one speaking my language and just getting to the damn point on anything. If one of you guys know for sure and care to answer. I sure would appreciate it.

I know some on here know this anyway, but due to the virus & the lack of TP more people are buying baby wipes and using them.

However, don't flush baby wipes/napkins/paper towels down the toilet; they don't break down like toilet paper & will clog up your pipes and/or the sewer system in general. After you use them, just thrown them in the trash. I know it's gross, but it's better to do that than to later have an issue that will require a plumper; result in low water capacity; clog up the sewer system, etc. In fact, I wouldn't even flush tissue paper down the toilet since that doesn't break down as easily as toilet paper, either.

$5 Trillion Global Stimulus Funding Proposition (in US dollars)

We're going to need few of those ... stimulus, to combat the virus.

Ok, something you don't do ...
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world...on/ar-BB11NijN

Instead stay home and watch BR movies, or Netflix...don't drink and watch fake news...the two together don't mix very well...it could be fatal to your health.
