Friday, March 27 ... Pacific Time.

20200327_231942.jpg

* Friday, April 10 (2 days before Easter), exactly two weeks from now; check that map and numbers again between now and then.

If there are no Extreme Measures taken for the entire months of April and May (there won't be any miracle and no vaccine either), on June 1st, 2020, we'll be globally well into the eight digits (number of deaths).

I'm sure we'll see extreme measures taken before that.

Oh, and the global stock markets on June 1st, 2020 ... forget it there won't be much left of them.
...Sixty-six (66) days from today.

COVID-19 ... What are extreme measures against it?
No need to look any further than China. Just look @ the chart above, plus their new confirmed cases and new deaths.

Germany seems to be managing quite efficiently. ...Russia too (not even in the top 20).

Here in Belgium the first cat has been diagnosed with the Coronavirus.

https://www.brusselstimes.com/all-ne...ected-her-cat/

A woman who returned from Italy got sick a while later.
A week later her cat got sick too with the same symptoms.
The cat was then diagnosed with corona.
The virus went from human to cat and there is no indication it can go the other way around.

So, if you're sick and have pets better be safe than sorry and make sure they don't get it too.
The article says they didn't know if the cat was still alive but the cat is doing fine now.

China Moves to Re-Shutter All Cinemas Nationwide

Quote:
Hours after municipal authorities in Shanghai gave more than 200 cinemas the greenlight to re-open Saturday, national-level Chinese authorities on Friday ordered all theaters throughout the country shut again due to concerns over continued coronavirus risks.

Around 500 theaters across China had attempted to re-open in the last week, but seen little financial benefit from doing so, with screenings averaging less than a person a day and a national daily box office intake in the low thousands of dollars.

They had only re-opened their doors after receiving direct authorization from their local government bodies, who verified that they were following mandated health procedures.

But now, China’s national film bureau has ordered them all shut again, without saying exactly why or when they might hope to re-open.

I feel like cases of the virus are surging but somehow we haven't seen any further stock market plunges since there was any rebounds. I'm not saying i want doom and gloom, but i just found it weird that was happening.

For the so called richest economy in the world and a "super power" this crisis shows imo the disgusting nature of the very system that needs to change. 17 years old and barely a life lived dying for greed.

Dogs are treated better.

So what....the one infected guy at this funeral went around sneezing on everyone?

At most he maybe shook some hands, hugged a few people.
I went to an autograph signing a couple weeks ago before everything blew up. There were 500-600 ppl. Most were waiting in the common area. When your number section was called for X KC Chiefs player you'd walk down the stairs to a lower level and get in line to enter a conference room where you'd get in the second line for your signature and picture with the player. I was low in the que and sitting on the stairs. I watched a kid sneeze into his hand, turn around and grab the railing and walk with his hand on the railing down the stairs. Imagine how many ppl touched that railing during the day?

In a funeral someone coughs or sneezes and touches the pen everyone uses to sign the funeral registry, or a door handle or top of a pew and they shuffle farther down the pew....you get the idea.

A question I have is when you come in contact with the virus how long before you become a carrier that would infect another person? So the person that touches an infected door handle and becomes infected. How long does it take for that newly infected person to become contagious and their droplets could infect others?

The streets were a ghost town during my 13-mile run this morning in the predawn hours.

...except that a rowing gym near the town square that was crowded last Saturday morning was still crowded this morning.

*sigh*

Yep. I’m a life long New Yorker (born in Queens, now upstate) , and it’s truly disgusting the way citizens are treated in the “richest country in the world”. The healthcare / insurance system is truly despicable. I’ll stop there.
