I heartily agree.

I would think that leaving the mask outside in the sun for a little while or putting it in the microwave for 15 seconds, would fry any virus still on it.

When I go running I come across all sorts, from one extreme to another. From the inconsiderate morons who walk in the middle of the pavement, to a woman the other day who when she saw me coming turned her face so far into a hedge I think she probably left an imprint of her face in the hedge.

I'm going to start wearing a mask for runs. I think it's the right thing to do. Yesterday morning I saw walkers in the community wearing them. A runner is more hazardous.

My landscaper called and said the reason he didn’t come this past weekend is because his dad died of coronavirus. So that makes a total of three people associated with people I know, that has been infected by this virus. 2 living, 1 dead.

We're grabbing pick-up from our local coffee shop this morning...it's a risk, but I also want them to still be around when all this is over. We'd go there once or twice a week for breakfast before all this happened.

The nice thing about lack of traffic is if someone is coming towards me I'll cross the street. If someone's also on the other side (rare) then I'll just walk in the middle of the street. I don't care.

From CNN...

'More people in the United States have died from coronavirus than during the 2009 H1N1 pandemic.'

This shit's hitting close to home here...My eight year old niece just tested positive. She's currently in the ICU and they aren't even letting her mother visit (understandable but c'mon she's EIGHT and has to be scared to be going through this, gotta be some exception to be made).

What bothers me the most is she just spent the night with us 2 weeks ago, my wife's in healthcare and I work around 400+ people on a daily basis, I'm curious if either of us were carriers. Wife and I are going to get tested asap, even though neither of us have shown symptoms...we could still be carriers. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones.

Yikes that's scary, hopefully she will pull through. I thought of something else to say but it's too morbid so I will simply say I hope everything turns out for the best and you are not a carrier.

For me, a Boston Marathon qualification is like dating a Victoria's Secret model. It's so unattainable that I don't really think about it from one day to the next.

I've run over 50 marathons and ultramarathons during the past decade, including two 100-mile race finishes, but my fastest marathon time is 3:59 and change. I got my sub-4-hour and I was a happy camper. It's been a while since my last marathon, because I had a ruptured appendix in 2018 and a colon surgery in August of 2019, but I've got my mojo back and I'm ready to run one nonstop right now if I could register for one.

I'm bummed out now, because all of my races are being canceled. I was supposed to run a trail marathon in late April, but they closed it down and deferred our registrations to next year. I have a 50-mile trail race scheduled for September, and I'm expecting that to be shut down as well.

In March, I hit a new monthly mileage record of 256 miles. I run four days a week, and I've run a half marathon distance, at least, for all four days of the week for the past two months. I need to back off on the mileage now, since I've hit my goal weight, but I still keep running long, because it's the only fun thing that I get to do outdoors now with the COVID-19 stuff.
Everybody on social media keeps talking about how much weight they've gained during the social distancing quarantine, but I'm turning into Jack Skellington.
