This will tell you all about it. They're launching a new app on their site this Friday called "Get my payment" that will allow you to check on the status of your payment, and input your direct deposit info to get it quicker. Keep an eye out for updates about this later in the week.

Also, there's already a live tool that lets you file for the payment if you don't normally file taxes due to limited or no income.
Thanks all. I checked the info and since I already filed my 2019 tax return, I guess I won't need to complete the form. I'll check back on Friday to see what the status is!

I certainly don't find the behavior by the cops in those videos to be acceptable. Arresting a man playing ball outside in a park when the sign says it's okay in groups of 4 or less as long as they're practicing safe distancing, and 7-10 cops pulling a man off a bus when he did nothing other than not wear a mask on the bus, when the bus regulations only recommend, not require, passengers to wear masks, is certainly beyond unreasonable.

Nobody should be surprised that some cops out there are taking things too far. And that is not acceptable.

But we need to have some regulations in place, and people need to follow them. And we know that many are not, the safety of others be damned. The man on that bus did nothing wrong, and could have been hurt or worse during that escalation. The father also did nothing wrong. Those cases need to be investigated. But we can't allow people to do whatever they want at the risk of public safety. We have laws in place to protect the public, that we all have to follow on any given day, and during an emergency situation like this where entire cities are going into lock-down and the country is practically shut down, of course there are going to be stricter temporary rules in place, to protect the safety of all of us. This is a heath crisis and it has to be taken seriously.

Conspiracy theorists, anti-science lunatics, and those that just don't care about the well-being of anybody else are why we are seeing some places enact even stricter regulations. Some people refuse to do their part, even as so many others are making sacrifices to help us all beat this. Where I think they're going too far is by using force where unnecessary. Hand out tickets, kindly advise people to stay home and be safe, fine. Wrestling people off a bus that didn't do anything is not okay. He was refusing to get off the bus when the bus driver asked but the bus driver did not have the right to ask him to get off in the first place. He was not causing trouble and was not breaking any regulations.

I actually might have gotten eczema from my excessive hand washing. Top of my hands were really messed up.

I got this cream from Amazon, and it's definitely helping:

Any bus driver has the right to refuse service and use of their vehicle as long as they're not discriminating against a person. It's under their discretion.

I haven't looked into the situation, but it sounds like it was escalated for no reason.

When a vaccine is available, I really wonder if most people are actually going to get it done. Most people I know don't even get the flu shot because they're too scared, so I don't know if they'll even be brave enough to get a vaccination shot for the Coronavirus.

Too scared of what? A needle? lol

I, for one, don't want to get injected with anything unless it's proven to be 100% safe and, right now, trust is a disappearing commodity.

I think "informed" is a better word than scared. The seasonal influenza shot doesn't work very well and there is no GOOD evidence it prevents transmission or complications (multiple Cochrane reviews over the last two decades), there are absurd conclusions reached from cherry-picked studies (it lowers mortality from ALL causes lol) and you typically have to vaccinate 71-100 people to prevent one case of symptoms.

With coronavirus the vaccine it appears most being pushed is a vaccine type that doesn't exist on the pediatric or adult scheuldes (messenger RNA) and previous mRNA vaccines have had poor results in animal safety studies. With the Moderna vaccine skipping animal studies and Bill Gates (hugely invested) already asking for the manufacturers to have indemnity because they're going to rush safety studies, you have to ask...is someone brave or stupid for getting the vaccine if it's rushed out?

When Paul Offit MD (co-developer of the rotavirus vaccine currently approved on the CDC's US pediatric schedule) from CHOP, well known for being staunchly pro-vaccine, writing books on vaccines (Autism's False Prophets), appearing at vaccine lectures, appearing as a CDC ACIP member, we could go on and on but you get the picture, is voicing concerns about a vaccine even being available within 18 months, you have to wonder if pulling a 180 and running in the opposite way isn't the best idea. Of course if Gates has his way, you will be coerced into the vaccine. As Dr. David Gorski from Science Based Medicine notes, "you cannot have informed consent where there is coercion"

Paul Offit's most recent interview here - https://nationalinterest.org/feature...rs-away-140152

It's a good read altogether, but here are a couple highlights:

Quote:
So the messenger RNA approach is the one being used by Moderna and that is already in the human trials that Dr. Anthony Fauci has talked about. But they are really at the beginning of this process. You still don’t have an immunological correlate of protection; you still don’t really have a dose. The forty-five people who are being tested in Washington state have been divided into three groups of fifteen and each given a different dose. They started with a low dose, then they moved to a middle dose, and now they are moving to a higher dose. But that’s only fifteen people in each group. Really, to do this right, you would need thousands of people to make sure you are giving the right dose—not too much or too little. I presume that they will move to that, but it takes time.
Quote:
For us, in the development of the Rotavirus vaccine, that took sixteen years before we got to the large, definitive, phase three trial. That was a placebo-controlled, prospective, eleven-country, four-year, $350 million trial, on 70,000 babies. That was a definitive phase three trial.

My sense is that they are moving along in this “break the glass mode,” which is to say that they will use fewer people in these studies and may bypass the FDA. They might just move to offer this. That said, to put this in perspective, Dr. Fauci is certainly right. The mRNA approach is very quickly scale-uppable. You can make very large numbers, remember you are talking about making billions, hundreds of millions of doses. But the mRNA still needs to be delivered in this complex lipid delivery system, which is not so easy to scale up. It could take a year to just scale up that part of it. And the filling takes time. Even if they use multi-dose vials, the filling alone could take a year. So, I don’t see eighteen months—Dr. Fauci could see something I don’t here, he is certainly closer to it—but I think eighteen months is a very, very, very optimistic timeline.
Previous SARS-CoV vaccine animal trials:
https://journals.plos.org/plosone/ar...l.pone.0035421

Quote:
These SARS-CoV vaccines all induced antibody and protection against infection with SARS-CoV. However, challenge of mice given any of the vaccines led to occurrence of Th2-type immunopathology suggesting hypersensitivity to SARS-CoV components was induced. Caution in proceeding to application of a SARS-CoV vaccine in humans is indicated.
Does it sound like caution is being taken? It doesn't to me. It sounds like it doesn't to Paul Offit. Dr. Peter Hotez, another well-known vaccine crusader, has echoed similar sentiments to Paul Offit.

I believe they're acting in the best interests of the existing schedule. Imagine if they ramp up COVID vaccine and when millions get it you discover serious side effects (that could include death) that affects tens of thousands or more, all those bills removing NMEs in the US would be dead in the water and adherence to the vaccine schedule in the US would see a sharp downward turn.

But hey, at least Moderna, Bill Gates and Fauci will have indemnity.

https://chicagocitywire.com/stories/...virus-antibody

Quote:
A phlebotomist working at Roseland Community Hospital said Thursday that 30% to 50% of patients tested for the coronavirus have antibodies while only around 10% to 20% of those tested have the active virus.

Sumaya Owaynat, a phlebotomy technician, said she tests between 400 and 600 patients on an average day in the parking lot at Roseland Community Hospital. Drive-thru testing is from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. each day. However, the hospital has a limited number of tests they can give per day.

Owaynat said the number of patients coming through the testing center who appear to have already had coronavirus and gotten over it is far greater than those who currently have the disease.

“A lot of people have high antibodies, which means they had the coronavirus but they don’t have it anymore and their bodies built the antibodies,” Owaynat told Chicago City Wire.

The county next to mine is requiring face masks starting on Friday. Only a matter of time before it's required in Marin and probably all of California. Masks or face coverings are essential gear in getting the economy partially reopened. Governor Newsom is going to address that topic at a news conference later today.

Quote:
SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. (KRON) – Starting Friday, April 17, everyone in Sonoma County will be required to wear face coverings when in public as an added measure to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

According to the order issued by the Sonoma County Health Officer, people must wear face coverings before they enter any of the following:

An indoor facility (except their home)
Any enclosed space
An outdoor space where they cannot keep a distance of 6 feet away from others at all times
The order also applies to employers who continue to be open for business during the stay-at-home orders mandated by Governor Gavin Newsom.

Employers are also ordered to make sure their workers comply and they must provide workers with face coverings or make sure the workers have access to face coverings or use their own.

According to the order, businesses can deny entry or service to any customer or visitor who is not wearing a face covering.

These help immensely for skin irritations as well, cleared mine up in 2 days a couple of weeks back.

Dunno if you have that brand in the US, but that ingredient is the best for skin reactions.

why exactly did my post get deleted? what did i say that was deemed inappropriate?

if the moderator who deleted it could PM me and let me know, it would be appreciated.

edit: lol, never mind. looks like becuase he said i cant do math, and my response to him not being able to read. i took no offense to his statement, i have thick skin. we were having a conversation is all, nothing personal.

if we cant have a discussion with differing ideas and we all just get in line and think alike, well, then thats certainly not a discussion at all. simply deleting the you cant read part would have sufficed is all im saying
