Kids are awesome. Just the fact that some parents aren't used to being around their kids all day.

Had Garmin issues on today's 5 mile run by my sister's house. My June marathon is still on, I imagine it'll happen unless restrictions aren't eased by then. If not, I guess I could try to run 26.2 miles somewhere else since I really don't want to miss a June race.

I’m only going to post this as a snippet of truth, but also to see if it gets removed.
I work closely with both hospitals and doctors as part of my job. Everyday. I get the facts from the horses mouth’s, not from the media propoganda tablets that most seem happy to swallow. Here in the UK, we’ve been lead to believe that the NHS is completely overwhelmed and on the verge of collapse. The truth is anything but. 3 major hospitals that cover the south of England. Exeter, Southampton and Eastbourne. All are wholly overstaffed due to this media farce. The hospitals are half empty and hospital death rates are roughly half of what they normally are at this time of year. The staff are twiddling their thumbs...still waiting for this proposed government-induced ‘pandemic’. You won’t see this reported or televised. The county I live in has a population of over 550,000 and is relatively close to London on the south coast. We’ve only had 37 deaths this year from people that showed positive from the virus, and that includes persons from home deaths or from retirement homes. They ALL had underlying health problems. I’ll let you work out the minuscule percentage of the death rate compared to our population. I will stand by my previous comment that the Lockdown was, and is, a farce. Well over a million people applying for Universal Credit in a two week period. Well over 10% of the working population out of work due to the government’s knee-jerk reaction based on a ‘software model’ by some boffs at Cambridge that doesn’t take into account real world variances. Central London has been hard hit because the government has allowed mass illegal immigrancy over the last decade, and that is where the major density of Covid cases have occured in the UK. Most cases aren’t British, let alone indingenous to the area. The reason why you don’t see swathes of case studies or video evidence in the UK is that most deaths occured to people that can’t even speak English. That’s going to look great on the TV - the London hospitals are suffering due to foreigners that have just come in off the boat. How are the government going to promote their beloved NHS if people witnessed the truth? ..and for those claiming that the empty hospitals are due to the governments actions and social distancing regulations, I ask you this: Don’t drive incase you end up in a crash. Don’t cross the road incase you get knocked over by a bus. Don’t smoke incase you get cancer. Don’t go outside incase you die. Of course death rate is going to be reduced in the short term if everyone stays inside...that hypothesis works whether Covid existed or not. But will the human race survive with such extreme measures? |

A) You immediately reference "media propaganda" B) You're posting to see if it gets removed C) You think that your specific experience at your specific location is concrete evidence of what's happening everywhere...especially from someone who's clearly chomping at the bit to spout nonsense that contradicts "media propaganda" |

I do wonder what the hospital occupancy rates rates are, compared to the norm. Is it not possible to get that information? I know in California we have at least 4 times the ICU capacity as there are patients currently, and ICU cases have leveled off (meaning just as many beds becoming empty as there are new arrivals).
Anyway it's good news that apparently the hospitals are not going to be overwhelmed like they were in Italy. |

B) I, and many others, had their posts removed in this thread for no valid reason. I was banned for questioning it. C) I haven’t just given a specific location...I cited the South of England. That represents a decent percentage of England as a whole. So please, how has my credibility ‘got thrown out the window’? |

Isn't this kind of nonsensical political crap why this thread got locked before?
Here's what I believe....the virus is a serious thing because we don't know as much about it as we do know about other viruses. MOST people, will either not get it or will be okay if they do get it (in other words, they won't require hospitalization). With that said, do I trust Bill Gates and "Big Pharma" (aka pharmaceutical companies)? Absolutely not. Do I trust Donald Trump and the American government (Republican or Democrat)? Absolutely not. Take as many precautions as are advised. Take the time to better yourself - whether that is through hobbies, faith, or something else. What is complaining going to do to help anyone? Nada. Here's a hint...NO ONE likes being locked down. NO ONE likes seeing loved ones sick. NO ONE likes seeing the economy crash. We just gotta get through it. |

That is pure BS! The news over the past month has been nothing but stories of people either dying or in critical condition in the hospital. MOST people who get it are going to go through hell and that's what is scary!

Seriously mate, avoid the news. We have this place over here in the UK called ‘Beachy Head’ which is this wonderful hotspot where people love to throw themselves over the cliffs. You may have seen it on the TV. Regardless, 3 people threw themselves over there last weekend and I don’t want you to give the government the benefit of an extra figure...even though it hasn’t been reported anywhere in our news because, obviously, any non-Covid death is negligible and non news-worthy. Stay sane my man. |
