And there are a lot of people on forums like this that do not come across as overly optimistic.

I got my check and it went right into my savings...will be used to pay off a credit card when things level off out in the crazy world right now.

To my knowledge, they've only sent out two groups and you had to have gotten a FEDERAL return in the last two years through direct deposit. Those are the only people getting the money thus far.

The Fed claimed paper checks started going out yesterday, but who knows if they really did and how many did if so.

I'm starting to think that box to switch info to DD is for FUTURE bailout checks, as if this next bill out of the house passes, we'd all start getting $2000 a month until things level off. Well, anyone making under $130K.

"According to a memo from the House Ways and Means Committee, the IRS will begin issuing paper checks the week of April 20. Americans with the lowest income will get mailed checks first. Around 5 million paper checks will be issued each week, so the memo notes it could take up to 20 weeks for everyone to get their paper checks."

It was a mildly amusing video, but shitting on celebrities and/or rich people because they're not suffering like many others is pretty dumb. What are they supposed to do, slum it up? Go work at a hospital, or a supermarket? Despite the sarcasm in the video, seeing celebs at their homes, kitchens, or wherever, in a cheerful mood/setting actually does help cheer people up, and escape the constant doom and gloom everywhere else. But nah, let's hate the rich for being rich some more.

I mean, after the first one or two it became pretty repetitive. But if you got a kick out of it, that's great.

They’ve apparently been going out since Monday. I’ve seen people report that they’ve received them. According to the IRS website, mine was scheduled to be mailed yesterday. Today it still says it was scheduled to be mailed yesterday, so who knows what’s going on. Maybe it doesn’t update after the payment was issued?

I never made any move whatsoever to get my stimulus money, and yet when I cashed my paycheck two weeks ago, there it was in my checking account.

I have no issues with anything other than the vain attention seeking, stay at home and stay off the radar, my best advice to em, and don't get me started on the ones singing to us from their houses.

Doesn't bother me, celebrities like attention, just ignore them if it upsets you.

They have audiences, why shouldn't they cater to those audiences? You're clearly not part of their audience, so why should it bother you? Should youtubers stop making youtube videos too? Where does the "attention seeking" cutoff end? When someone has a certain amount of fame, or money?

You actually have the ability to not have them on your radar if you weren't aware. For instance, I haven't been aware of any celebs singing in their houses, or anything that any celebrity has done. So if this is "on your radar" then you are clearly doing something to allow that to happen. Maybe stop doing that, or get over yourself.

People are still waiting for their stimulus money? Lol. Direct Deposit is up there with Air Conditioning and the Internet among the "best inventions ever". Many of my co-workers are still using check cashing outlets (or actual banks) to cash their paychecks and I can't help but snicker every time they cry about long lines and losing break time. Get with the times, people!

I see a lot of people saying they're depositing their stimulus money into a Savings account. I have one but I can easily move money in and out of one so what's the point? I need an account where I can't easily move money out of, otherwise I'm always going to be tempted to take money out.

I think I got mine on like the 17th, makes me glad I never ask the IRS for paper checks.

I have about $1700 in the bank right now, will hope it will last me enough till work resumes.

Time to clean my room!

There’s people with DD set up and they’re still waiting. Or in my case, had DD set up and the IRS screwed something up and now they’re mailing me a check. Thankfully I don’t NEED the money at the moment.

Sorry, who the hell are you to tell people what they should do or not do?, if I or you for that matter finds something they want to state as a minor annoyance, just leave em to it, it hardly affects you or anyone else on here, some of the constant negativity on this forum thread is not called for all the time, but it's every individuals right to do it.
