I, personally, would steer clear of any take out food whatsoever. Either cook your own food or buy frozen tv dinners.

You have people hiding in their toilet paper forts to feel safe, yet I have to use my shower head to clean myself.

So my son and I decided to checkout our local Walmart Grocery as I have been reading about panic buying. Yep . . . most shelves were empty. ALL fresh meats were gone. As were can goods. About the only things not sold out were candy and booze. And somehow we spent $75!

BTW, went to buy cigarettes ($34.50/carton) at the Indian reservation near us. Gas was $1.70 for regular. Phillips 66 brand

I'm not sure if this has been posted, apologies if it has. I haven't looked back through all the posts. Interesting article. The approach they are taking in the UK is very different from the approach WHO recommends...

The paper towels and T.P. at my store were totally decimated today. I've been on vacation since last Friday, but I assume the store must have looked like this around Monday...

Bet you could have gotten some sick overtime this week. Though you're probably lucky you missed the trainwreak at the store.

I bet in the coming weeks stores will get enough stuff to handle the demand. They just weren't prepared. I bet next week we see plenty of food, hand sanitizer, household cleaners, and TP in all the stores.

School closures of 8 weeks or more may better mitigate coronavirus spread, CDC says

(CNN) Closing schools for eight weeks or more may have a greater impact on mitigating the spread of the novel coronavirus than two- to four-week closures, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said.

Shorter-term closures will likely make little difference in the spread of the disease, new CDC guidance states, even as K-12 school districts across the country began announcing school closures within the shorter time frame.

Further, short-term closures may actually have detrimental effects, negatively impacting older caregivers at home, the CDC said.

Walmart announced that starting tomorrow, Sunday March 15, ALL stores will have hours of 6AM to 11PM. This will give Walmart time to restock shelves overnight.

Today was technically my last day of vacation, but my manager called and asked if I could come in, and because I was bored and can always use the extra coin, I did.

They may as well start closing schools for the rest of the school year. 8 more weeks will put us in May and May-June is graduation time.

Likely Safeway will do the same. I went there at 5am to grab toilet paper this morning, but it was definitely busier than when I would normally go there at 6 am. Hopefully the panic buying will calm down in a few weeks.

They shouldn't wait till Monday, they should be all closed NOW, as in right now.
Tomorrow they all go to church and millions more will get infected ...
And people (a lot) will die because they waited till Monday.
