For once I agree with Ray Jackson, at least pretend like you care enough about someone other than yourself to put a mask on.

Disposing of used gloves and masks in shopping carts and in the parking lot of retailers is what pisses me off the most. You simply cannot get any more lazy and disgusting than that. It makes my blood boil.

Exclamation Neurosurgeon Says Face Masks Pose Serious Risk to Healthy People

https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politic...people-n392431

Quote:
As for the scientific support for the use of face mask, a recent careful examination of the literature, in which 17 of the best studies were analyzed, concluded that, “ None of the studies established a conclusive relationship between mask/respirator use and protection against influenza infection.” Keep in mind, no studies have been done to demonstrate that either a cloth mask or the N95 mask has any effect on transmission of the COVID-19 virus. Any recommendations, therefore, have to be based on studies of influenza virus transmission. And, as you have seen, there is no conclusive evidence of their efficiency in controlling flu virus transmission.

It is also instructive to know that until recently, the CDC did not recommend wearing a face mask or covering of any kind, unless a person was known to be infected, that is, until recently. Non-infected people need not wear a mask. When a person has TB we have them wear a mask, not the entire community of non-infected. The recommendations by the CDC and the WHO are not based on any studies of this virus and have never been used to contain any other virus pandemic or epidemic in history.
Quote:
Now that we have established that there is no scientific evidence necessitating the wearing of a face mask for prevention, are there dangers to wearing a face mask, especially for long periods? Several studies have indeed found significant problems with wearing such a mask. This can vary from headaches, to increased airway resistance, carbon dioxide accumulation, to hypoxia, all the way to serious life-threatening complications.
Quote:
Why is it that we only listen to dire predictions from Dr. Fauci and we don’t consult other experts in the field of medicine? Is Anthony Fauci the only qualified person to talk about this virus? Furthermore, if he is, he agrees with Dr. Blaylock that only sick people should wear them and he said so on 60 Minutes. So why aren’t we listening to him?
Please read the whole article and others, so you can make an informed decision for yourself.

You'll have to forgive me if I can't finish an article regarding an apparent scientific study that begins with the four words, "Every Karen on Facebook..."

I don't like wearing the mask, but I'll be damned if some asymptomatic arse will try and infect me. Will the mask work? not sure, but better safe than sorry.

well my dad took me out today of course I had to wear gloves and that reusable mask over at game exchange and Kroger

it was odd game exchange seeing glass window at counter folks wearing their mask after I sold some movies over

hardly any customer much less the 3 teenagers were wearing masks while I was there I didn't feel like doing in store credit buy 2 get 1 free movies or going though comics in boxes

so I just got 26 cash back from movies I sold a lot of folks wearing masks at krogers btw

i'm not fan of mask i'm hoping on june 1st or if I have to wait get paid 3rd when I order facemasks wwe shop when comes out june 1st be more comfortable to wear

there's no way I can handle breathing in that face mask for an hour or so if I go back to church next month I still don't know why I have to wear dishwasher gloves meh

Salty, the 60 minutes segment with Tony is from early March.
Although there were early suggestions of asymptomatic transmission - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...c#post17424910, strong epidemiologic and virologic evidence came to light from March to April indicating that SARS-CoV-2 can be transmitted by persons with presymptomatic or asymptomatic infection, thusly causing CDC to change its masking guidelines on April 3rd.

The Thrifties (grocery stores) here they sanitize all the carts after each use and they bring them to you outside while you are waiting in line. That's nice. The food is a little more expensive but they offer nice touches and services. ...Plus paper bags (not plastic)...the good old fashion way. And of course they sell tissue (material) bags (reusable).

What I would love to see is the selling of quality tissue masks in all the groceries stores, the drug stores, the liquor stores, ... make them easily disponible/accessible to purchase everywhere. ...And rubber/plastic gloves too. ...And nothing made in China, zero.
