Just like the local grocery stores. Maybe not a issue for the business, but an issue for consumers. A lot of items are currently sold out at the moment so people can't buy certain goods whether local or online, at the moment.

That is a very good point. I’ll stick with my P90X/2

I would have to dip into my long-term savings just to survive two months without a paycheck, and my checking account would be almost completely emptied with little chance of ever building it up again. Granted, I work in one of the few "essential" businesses (a grocery store) that likely won't get shut down except in case of extreme urgency, but if worst came to worst and I was forcibly quarantined in my apartment until mid-May, I would be SCREWED from a financial perspective.

You can work out ANYWHERE. Is it really essential to leave your apartment to do some sit-ups or lift some weights? Gyms are absolutely inessential to keep open at this time.

Most people live pay check to pay check not to mention not having two months worth of food. If you thought you've seen chaos...

Lifting 2 gallon jugs of milk in the kitchen can give you a good workout, use the jugs as weights.

With the flu shot, they protect you against the few strains of the flu that are in the flu shot. They try to predict which ones will be the most prominent for the season. If you get the flu, it's just a different strain of it.

The economy has already passed the point of "havoc." The stock market is a shambles, layoffs by the thousands will destroy low unemployment. About the only good thing is the price of gas but that won't help as people lose destinations to drive to as closures and lockdowns are put in place.

It's not all activities. It's those that can and do promote the passage of the virus. We MUST flatten the curve. Here is COVID-19 in Canada:

Containment is the strongest "cure" until an actual antiviral is found along with a vaccine/cure which historically takes about 6 to 8 months.

Old news. now they are saying 1 year.

Vaccines available: none yet; a vaccine will likely be ready in about one year

What they say and what actually happens as far as the timeframe are two different things.

The biggest and best drug companies and labs from around the world are working nonstop to come with a vaccine.

7 confirmed positive cases in my state.

My manager spoke to our staff that if there is a confirmed case in our city, then we would not be required to work. There was no mention of either working at home or for how long we would be away from work.

I just assume that I would still be getting paid, though.

A 4 month-old French boy has tested positive for Covid-19 in Cambodia.

Quote:
Cambodia reports new cases

Cambodia has confirmed four new virus cases - including a four-month-old French boy.

The baby is the son of a French man who travelled from Paris via Singapore to Phnom Penh. He tested positive for the virus on Sunday - his wife tested negative.

A Cambodian man returning from France and two other people returning from an Islamic ceremony in Malaysia were also confirmed to have the virus.

This brings the number of confirmed cases in the country to 12.

I had typed this really long and angry response to this thread at first. I felt like I had all of these valid and self righteous points to make about people and our world and how we act towards each other. I had it all typed and was ready to hit submit and just blast anyone who it may have spoken to.

I stopped and read what I wrote and couldn’t post it. It was just anger and that is not going to do anyone any good. We all have families on here and we are all affected by this in some way or will be. We all come here and release sometimes about our common interests in movies and collecting. It reminds me all to often that even though we may all be very different we all share a common ground and love for this hobby. We all get into it sometimes and go back and forth but in the end I like to think we see it as passion rather than conflicts with one another. What I really want to say here and now is, we have no true idea what will come of this. Will we all come out the other side?

I want to say how much I love this forum. I want to say how much I’ve enjoyed the debates with you all, even if we didn’t see eye to eye on some things.

I wish you all around the World the very best and I pray we all come through this and our families are safe.

I just feel like I needed to post this as it can all get too crazy sometimes.

Possibly, but not as much as cinemas. I happen to work at one, and my job is very much up in the air right now, at least for a short while. I will not be purchasing any new Blu-rays until this is over, although I have a purchase from Indicator already shipped, a small one from Eureka ordered, and Criterion’s Leave Her to Heaven still on pre-order, and that better not be ****ing delayed after waiting years for a reissue.

Inovio Pharmaceuticals set to trial Covid-19 vaccine in April

Quote:
Inovio Pharmaceuticals has expedited its timeline for the development of a Covid-19 vaccine candidate, INO-4800, with human clinical trials scheduled for April.

The company already had a vaccine candidate in Phase II development for similar coronavirus that leads to the development of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).

Inovio leveraged its DNA medicines platform to design INO-4800 within three hours of the publication of the novel coronavirus’ genetic sequence.

In January, the company started preclinical testing of the Covid-19 vaccine candidate and obtained funding from the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) to support preclinical and initial clinical development.
Preclinical testing is ongoing, while the company developed and finalised human clinical trial designs. Inovio has generated 3,000 INO-4800 doses for trials conducted in patients across the US, China and South Korea.

Don’t forget to include the comorbidities of HTN, 6% and cancer 5.6% (Table 1) - http://weekly.chinacdc.cn/en/article...b-fea8db1a8f51

(HTN = hypertension, high blood pressure)

And since so many people take those sorts of high blood pressure medications, it brings me to alerting folks about articles like this - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-symptoms.html
and other social media postings advocating that ^ hypothesis.

Alternatively, trust in the position statement from the European Society of Cardiology - https://www.escardio.org/Councils/Co...bitors-and-ang
