“Furthermore, our results demonstrated a significant prolonged viral shedding time existed in non-severe patients receiving corticosteroid treatment”. That, supplemented by the fact that this same prolonged virus shedding was also previously seen with a different killer coronavirus several years ago…..complicates things. So, other than timeline as a sole parameter, what would be a more definitive way to clear someone of being contagious to others? It’s certainly not simply them feeling good. |

well yesterday governor of tenn lifted covid 19 on restrictions on business gathering in 89 countries
including my little town basically he signed Executive Order No. 63 that extends his State of Emergency through October but amends some restrictions, like allowing businesses and gatherings without size limitations in the 89 counties with state-run health departments. still have to wear masks but then again half folks wear masks other's don't meh Last edited by y2jman; 10-08-2020 at 09:22 PM. |

oh Halloween isn't cancel this year for us ![]() from our mayor you want trick-or-treaters turn your lights on, if you don’t want them, leave your lights off. If you have COVID-19, or you could have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, you should not participate in trick or treating or give out candy to guests. If you are sick, stay home. Please use common sense to keep you and your family safe. Halloween safety tips • Share with your children that this year may be different but still will be fun. • Talk with children about social distancing guidelines expectations. Keep a six-foot distance from others not in your group. To help with social distancing, go to one side of the street at a time and stay to the right. • Trick or treat with people you live with. • Avoid congregating in groups around houses. • Wear a face mask covering both mouth and nose. A Halloween mask is not a substitute for a cloth mask. • Do not wear a costume mask over a protective cloth mask if wearing both causes difficulty breathing. Instead, consider using a Halloween-themed cloth mask. • Only go to houses with safety measures in place. Tips for homeowners: • Use duct tape to mark six-foot lines in front of home and leading to driveway/front door. • Position a distribution table between yourself and trick-or-treaters. • Distribute candy on a disinfected table to eliminate direct contact. • Consider handing out candy in an open space where distancing is possible, rather than from the front door. Our governor is extremely pissed, right now I'd say it's 80% likely she shuts down indoor dining again next Friday. Hopefully my hours won't dip too far below 30 after that happens, I know people are going to eat outside a lot less once we get into November and December. I don't entirely blame her but I don't think it's going to have the effect she desires. Our numbers are absolutely skyrocketing, people are going to continue to spread it to each other even if they can't do so eating together indoors.

My wife tells me that some of the people she’s cared for on specialty medications or those who prefer to pick-up their meds at local pharmacies rather than using mail order have experienced their prices for those situations jump around significantly from year to year between different plans. |

With your weight situation, in case you ever progress to becoming a diabetic, hopefully not, a little pearl my wife just passed onto me is that unbeknownst to some, despite blood glucose meters and strips being over the counter (non-prescription) as some diabetics purchase them that way, if your doctor writes a prescription for you, for them listing the ICD 10 code, you’ll pay like $2-3 as compared to something like over $100 for a 90 day supply.

I don't understand why this wasn't minimized during the summer. The fact that cases are rising here in NY when we're doing the same thing we did two months ago just proves that it's much easier to slow the spread during warm weather. How warm states like Florida, Texas and California couldn't slow the spread, especially during the summer, is beyond me...

I've said it before and I'll say it again: next time, CLOSE THE AIRPORTS! All of them. Restrict inbound shipping. Set up roadblocks across State lines and test people. If someone absolutely has to travel, test them. This thing absolutely could've been prevented simply by restricting movement.

Then pandemics will spiral out of control again
![]() Anyone already in the air when an outbreak occurs should be allowed to proceed to their destination but that vacation in Tahiti you had planned for next week isn't worth risking making hundreds of people get sick or die. |
