Wow, and all about a simple mask. It can happen anywhere. Some people really don't like to be told to wear a mask. I know first hand from couple months ago. And I was very polite by simply saying that they give them for free @ the entrance. That was also a Wal-Mart store. The guy told me that he didn't have to wear one, because he was "intelligent". Like this pandemic is some kind of hoax.

Today in town by a medical person I was told that in one major Victoria hospital many don't wear masks! And I know that they are mandatory. But in a hospital, beats me man.

Extreme pain for me today, 3:30 hours sitting in a dentist chair with tears of blood.
I wasn't prepared for it. It took a long time to stop the bleeding.
Tomorrow is a brand new day, hope for the best and prepare for the unexpected...which is pretty much the new routine by now.

In Canada we average roughly 5,000 new cases a day. And roughly 100 deaths a day recently.

In France they are on their way down from their second wave; good as they're going to ease their restrictions a bit. They have already hit the peak.

Different countries, different timing on the waves, tides, peaks, calmness.
Boxing Day tomorrow; my feeling...a lot of people shopping online, and in person in stores. Not like last year but a fair bunch, if today is a fair indicator.

How the heck does something like this happen? I thought Oxford University was respected all around the world. And though I don't always trust big pharma, same goes for the respect for AstraZeneca.

The efficacy rate was bumped up from 62% to 90% after a batch of volunteers were "accidentally" given half-doses instead of the two full shots. (oh, and the "accidentally" given half-shots group's age? everyone was under 55)

Seems insane to me.

The state announced details on a color-coded tier system which will determine what businesses can begin to reopen moving forward. Starting on Wednesday restaurants and drink establishments still won’t be allowed to have indoor dining, but will be able to offer 25 percent of maximum capacity for outdoor dining.

For the last two weeks restaurants and drink establishments statewide have only been allowed to offer take out, curbside and delivery. Some restaurant owners KRQE spoke with Friday said they’re glad to open up their patio set ups again, even if it is cold and it can only be at 25 percent capacity.

“I think it could work, but I don’t know how well it works because if you don’t get that many people out there, by the time you pay for the tent, you pay for propane and stuff like that it’s hard to say if it’s worth it,” said Dan Garcia, one of the owners of Garcia’s Kitchen.

Garcia said it will be nice to offer his customers outdoor dining even though it’s only at 25 percent capacity. He believes it’s still better than nothing. However, with temperatures dropping everyday, he doesn’t know if customers will even want to eat outside.

Not insane at all, the word you and Batman were looking for was "wonderful". The history of science is full of accidental and wonderful discoveries. You should be rejoicing, like Alexander Fleming rejoiced, and everyone since who has had their lives saved with Penicillin.

I was flipping through channels last night and I came across the game show Lets Make a Deal. Pre-Covid they'd have a large audience and the host would go around randomly picking people to come down and play the game.

Looks like they're filming new episodes during the Pandemic. The funny thing is now, everyone in the audience is obviously going to be picked at some point lol.

As long as that's not mandatory, then it shouldn't be a problem by itself.

I'm skeptical about the vaccine and even the thought of being injected with it. It was developed in a matter of months, rushed to the market and the pharmaceuticals aren't held responsible whatever happens? Not very reassuring.

The NY Metro area seems to be escaping the brunt of the current surge - for now. Considering NYC is a major hub/point of entry for International travelers/visitors, that's remarkable. I think as long as people are allowed to come and go as they please via plane, this crisis will continue.

And that's the problem. I really wish people would only be leaving their homes for essential purposes only. I still cannot get over 'til this day why people just won't stay home and only go out unless they absolutely have to. It's such a simple thing to do. And if think about it, we've only been going through this crisis for 8 months, which is really not all that long. So Covid fatigue is no excuse!
