The more stores that customers can go to to get supplies, the more spread out they will be.
Problem around here, saturday morning when I went to fiil up the tank, was early so figured I would stop by WalMart and make sure we had enough TP and few other items for this. Place was already a madhouse, empty paper products aisle. Went to Dollar General, and while there was not a ton there, there was a decent amount of TP, picked up one 12 roll mega pack. went in the grocery store in the same shopping center and picked up some food staples I didnt bother with at walmart. Barely anyone there, this place was half a mile from the walmart. Problem here is everyone is going to the same places, mind thinks you'll have a better time getting what you want from a large store, nope everyone else will be there

With the university shuttered, I think their intramural field/track will be the best spot to take my daughter to walk this afternoon. Hate that regular parks might be too risky, but I know this place is very quiet.

i think that would be bad medical advice to give for many factors. placebo, symptoms going away on their own etc....

shouldnt assume anything

What I have laughed at in regards to the school closures, was whether or not it would be added on to the end of the school year, and the answers said it all, it wouldnt because many parents have already made vacation plans for that time, it would be inconvenient for them. I had planned to see my family in Va this summer, but wont make any plans until this all shakes out. As school ends here in May I expect a lot of those vacations to not go off as planned.

I know it is, but I will stimulate it on things I need like food, and to make sure bills are paid not frivolous items. Look at the handouts after Katrina, you had people taking advantage of the cards given and were buying gucci bags and other crap. I will be conservative with the money, not like there will be many options for it out there soon anyway...

This is old news. Nobody has to stay home for 3 weeks. You can go to the store, park (if open) go out walking or jogging (while maintaining a safe distance from others). Many businesses are not affected, such as construction of housing and all the associated suppliers and delivery services. Restaurants open to take out.

Yeah but the question is still, does this affect the US Amazon? I have Animal Crossing on pre-order, the game comes out on the 20th. Should I stick with Amazon or cancel and go with Best Buy?

It doesn't affect those products. It only affects third party sellers who send products to Amazon to ship (Fulfilled by Amazon), nothing sold by Amazon themselves.

Just arrived at work (retail) and they’re playing that Taylor Swift song where she sings “You need to calm down.”

Appropriate for the occasion.

Just got this email from Cinemark.

Important Update from our CEO
Dear Valued Guest,

I cannot thank you enough for your loyal support of Cinemark Theatres. The entire Cinemark team cares deeply about our guests, employees and communities, and we have made the incredibly difficult decision to close our U.S. theatres to ensure we are playing our part to slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Each of our theatres will be closed beginning Wednesday, March 18, until we believe it is safe to once again welcome moviegoers to our auditoriums.

We appreciate your many concerns during these truly unprecedented times, and we want to relieve any uncertainties that you may have about your loyalty membership with Cinemark. To do this, we have increased the flexibility of our Cinemark Movie Rewards programs by:

Extending the expiration date for all Cinemark Movie Rewards points to June 30, 2020, providing you the opportunity to redeem the rewards you earned; and
Pausing your Movie Club membership while our theatres are closed. During this challenging time, we are looking out for you and will not bill you your monthly fee. Don’t worry, active members will never lose unused movie credits, even while your membership is paused.
We will, of course, refund all tickets that were purchased in advance. Online purchases will be automatically refunded in five to seven business days.

We also understand the profound impact the closure of our theatres has on our employees, and it is not a decision we made lightly. We will continue to support our employees to the best of our abilities as we navigate through this most turbulent time. I am thankful for the unwavering dedication of our Cinemark employees, as well as your trust and support. We greatly look forward to inviting you to once again enjoy the immersive experience of watching movies at Cinemark.

Sincerely,

The Irish Prime Minister had made his TV address at Government Buildings in Dublin at 9 p.m. Irish time. He said that it was a St Patrick's Day 2020 like no other. He said he believes that the impact of this virus will last until well into the summer. He had said that anyone over the age of 70 or anyone who has an underlying condition can stay at home for several weeks.

More confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Ireland today. The Republic of Ireland has 292 cases. Northern Ireland has 62.

There have been other measures taking place since Monday.

All cinemas across Ireland have voluntarily closed their doors until further notice.

Irish supermarkets have adapted policies to have elderly & vulnerable people shop in their stores for few hours a day from today.

I know that, for many of us, it has not been an easy time for us all. But everyone who has been impacted by this virus in very stressful ways must not lose hope. If you have symptoms of Coronavirus. Call a doctor & get tested asap. We can get through this difficult period not only for us as a global community of movies & TV show lovers. But for anyone who needs the strength to pull together to make the best efforts in anyway we can.

And on that note. I wish you........☘ Happy St Patrick's Day ☘

I’m looking out the window and I see a squirrel with rabies outside me house. It’s jumping around wildly. What to do?
