That’s a pretty good tidbit ray . Keep us informed as to more progress. My personal feeling though, as expressed in detailed technical posts over the years, is that Dolby Vision remains the superior format.

lol, I wish.
However I don’t think the United States Navy would ever go for selling a parcel of that beach to anyone, not that my wife and I could remotely afford it, even if they did. Look closely at the façade signage. It’s the entrance to this.

Got the new Amazon Fire Stick today and I was playing around with their System X-ray which gives detailed info about the source video. I didn't know that Netflix uses 10 bit color depth for 4K SDR content (they only use 8 bit for everything sub 4K.) Amazon uses 8 bit for their 4K SDR stuff.

Ludicrous. Why has it exploded since the last one? Why has the BBC been removed from HDR10? That's a mistake. The BBC definitely supports HDR10; all their 4k HDR Blu-Rays are HDR10 including Reference Titles such as Planet Earth 2.!

I believe that is when it breaks the sound barrier.

Fast speed causes shockwaves which then cause the air to lose its capacity to hold water and thusly condensation forms producing the appearance. You don’t necessarily need to exactly exceed the speed needed to ‘break the sound barrier’ especially when you have warm, moist air close to the surface of the ocean, but you still have to fly pretty damn fast in order to make the vapor cone form.

Staying Salty, you’ve proven yourself as having good eyes in answering this question…. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post15563308

You be the tie-breaker between Geoff and LordoftheRings.

Well, you would lose money if you bet against Geoff D. He has only been wrong once, and that is when he thought he was wrong, but turned out he was right.

But as for my eyes, I did not have to Google "Bruckheimer". I followed your bread crumb, and low and behold, there is a ”Bruckheimer twitter link” you posted in the above thread. And yes, his picture confirmed it.

All roads lead to Top Gun…..

Congratulations Geoff D.
