It's still good, and maybe it's because of the Jurassic World flicks (incl. The Lost World), but it seems almost a little corny to me on rewatch, but I remember it being gripping and tense that first time that I saw it.
Part of it is about suspense maybe. The number of close calls etc. You're not going to be as surprised now when the TRex tries to smash through the top of the car. Or when the raptor sticks it's head up through the vents etc. I remember people screaming when that happened.

But for me it's still a great experience, especially on a big screen.

Is yours priced higher than a normal film? The 4pm matinee showing of JP3D is about 16 bucks in my neck of the woods, about 60% more than any other 3D film in that timeslot.

My ticket prices were a bit higher on my end too. $13.25 a piece here.

No theaters near me are showing it. At least one had Jaws 3D last year. I did see JP in theaters during the reopening after the pandemic but I wasn't satisfied with the presentation, the speakers were too soft and the picture wasn't formatted properly to the screen. I'd love to catch it again if done properly (but I'd probably have to move to a town with better theaters for that).

I've been paying really close attention to limited releases lately to see what my nearest theater does and doesn't' get in anticipation of Godzilla: Minus One. I've basically lost hope of seeing that on a big screen at this point. They barely get anything that isn't a major wide-release.

I think it’s interesting that Jaws in 3D played last cinema day, now this year Jurassic Park 3D is playing that day.

I predict E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial 3D will be playing next year.

This is playing all next week over matinees and evening showings at several theaters in my area.

I saw the first 3D roll-out in 2013. The 3D was meh, and I could have done without it. I imagine that they are just reusing that version for this 2023 event.

I'll probably try and catch it this time, too. Honestly, it would be mainly for the T-Rex scene. There's nothing like experiencing that movie magic in a proper theater presentation.

$4 on Sunday!!! If my memory serves me, I recall driving 2 hours to the first theater in my state that featured DTS sound premiering with, you guessed it, Jurassic Park. Look forward to the big screen and I've not watched in 3D on the big screen before. I have it on Blu 3D and have watched it on my 120" screen ... a treat of sound and image, but the big screens have my heart.

I saw this on Thursday and I was the only one that bought a ticket to the 4:00pm showing until about 15 minutes before showtime when another patron showed up. It turned out to be just two tickets sold for the screening I went to.

Also interestingly I noticed they didn’t include the box office receipts for Thursday’s Jurassic Park screenings but they have it for Friday.

For new releases they combine the Thursday evening “preview screenings” with Friday since it’s not a full day.

Ahh, thanks. I am so glad my screening counted and got added to the official box office gross. Looks like Friday had the most tickets sold for this Jurassic Park re-release.

Think I'll see this on Discount Tuesday. Was planning on going to Gran Turismo but would think this would be better to see it on. I can always go the following week to GT.

Just watched ... packed theatre (likely due to $4 tickets) but it was 50% genuine (I felt) enthusiasts (like me) as well. Great view. Wonderful 3D. Just as engaging (for me) 30 years later. Sat next to a young first timer and she was giddy, startled, and engaged ... a convert for sure. Yes, the graphics are not up to par to the best of today CGI but still amazing and do not detract. The practical effects are spot on. Loved it! Go see it!

I think these rereleases should never be more than $10.

Saw the 30th Anniversary 3D release today. Great, great movie! Bad, bad presentation! (I'm sure just for my theatre.) The framing was way off! I should have suspected something was amiss when the Noovie preshow had some of the picture cut off from the top and bottom. The movie was nearly unwatchable with the top of peoples and dinosaurs heads cut off. That iconic first time we see a dinosaur in the movie was ruined because you couldn't see the head! The picture looked distorted as well. Maybe it was because I was in the third row from the screen and off to the side I don't know. But that wouldn't explain the bad framing. I think because of all things considered is the reason why the 3D didn't look that good to me in most scenes. (With a few exceptions.)

I'm hoping this gets extended for another week so I can watch it again but in a different movie theatre!

Exact same for me.

It was nice to see it again after many years but the whole experience reminds me of why I don't go to theaters any more. The framing was completely off - dinosaur/people's heads were occasionally cut off.

Also, the front speakers were completely screwed up - I think the right speaker was correct but the left/center channels were flipped.

Plus...the kids wouldn't stfu. Awful.

Saw it last night, well, I saw the first 5 minutes.
My family and I walked and got a refund.
Framing off, heads cut, sound painfully loud.
I felt bad because I wanna support these classic re-releases. What a drag.

We were thinking of seeing it at different theater but now I'm not sure.

Sounds like a projectionist problem.

Also, this movie was always painfully loud. I saw it maybe three times in 1993, and I always left with a headache and ears ringing. My first viewing on opening night was especially painful. Started as soon as that DTS logo screeched onto the screen. The T-Rex stomping around and roaring terrified kids and adults at my screening. The theaters just had the volume up way too high. You could feel the vibrations going through your body.
