I'm trying to find data that supports that. However, here is some statistics from Washington:

Jeez. The stats for my state, MI:

Positive: 1,035

Negative: 2,069

Why are more thank 1/3 of people being tested ending up positive? I mean, I'm not a virologist or anything. And I know they are leaning toward testing people who are likely to show up as infected, as opposed to someone like me. But even considering that, is that normal?

The thing about these senior hours. GREAT idea.. when it works.
Talk to employee at Dollar General last time i was there and she said a guy came to the store during first hour and she told him that they wanted seniors to have that hour to themselves he refused to wait and went in. And they can't just kick people out apparently.

Some people just dont care and are selfish sadly.

As you said, usually the only people that get tested are those that have been in contact with someone that has it, or are showing symptoms. So that's definitely going to skew the infection rate. If they start testing people in general that percentage of people that will have it will be considerably lower..

I'm not going to disagree with this employee you spoke with, of course. She obviously is part of the entire picture, I'm not.

But having worked in law offices (years ago, granted), having followed the law, and having grown up in a family of lawyers and legal professionals -- I can't think of a reason they couldn't just deny someone entrance, except: race, gender, religion, sexual preference, etc. I was under the impression -- obviously wrongly, potentially -- that if I own a business, I can kick anyone out, for any reason, no reason, whatever -- as long as everyone I deny business to isn't Hispanic, or gay, or Jewish, or who knows?

Is that wrong?

Yep, I'm sure this happens with all these places that are doing this sadly.

Yeah, I'm sure that's right.

It was just that those numbers seemed really startling when I first saw them.

One can argue it's age discrimination.

Well I didn't go into full details with her about it but I imagine the higher ups didn't give them permission to force them out. They should be able to call police at least when people don't listen. But I dunno.

What about senior centers. Age discrimination as well?

I didn't know that they renamed it 'The Chinese Virus'. Saw that today from our leader. Good information to know for the future.
