It's like that were my brother lives in his part of Wales, but he said it's almost chaos, there aren't employees coming out to if the limited inside the store hasn't been reached (so people are standing next to the door not giving customers enough space to exit), people are parking next to the queue curbside and getting within six feet ... In-store some people are cutting across lanes to get newspapers or going straight to the cashiers for lottery tickets (which aren't physically on sale anymore).

He said he's also meeting people walking his dog he's never seen before, people are driving all over to walk their dogs and others are walk hand-in-hand on cycle paths.

face masks arent required for outdoor use though, assuming you can maintain the 6 ft rule.

and idk about CA but almost everywhere here, it states, 1 family member allowed into the store.

Probably mostly people in his neighborhood who would usually be working at his dog walking hour, but are now unemployed or furloughed. He shouldn't judge. I see lots more people in the streets and fire road and some walking side by side or holding hands, but they almost always go to single file if it's required to give me the six feet. If not, I don't say anything but just stay annoyed for few minutes afterward.

Yes I know about the rule for masks outside. In Costco here in CA it's 2 people per membership. Don't know about any limits in other stores

And the point being, so far (and they've been doing it well past the 2-3 week incubation period) their deaths are not outpacing Canada's. And they haven't ruined their economy in the process.

Not saying they're 'right', but it does beg the question if we're 'wrong'.

I did go by the number of deaths. I don’t see much point in comparing Sweden with Canada, as already been mentioned they have completely different population numbers, geography and density levels. Neighbouring countries gives a more comprehensive basis for comparison.

I can't imagine living with all these restrictions for 18 months. I'm spending a small fortune on takeout via apps like GrubHub at work since everybody is closed. Love the convenience of delivery but it adds up.

like everything else, its more a suggestion than a mandate. only actual mandate is now the wearing of masks.

but, i will say, i dont think ive seen any children in the stores when i have been out.

Apparently a mom was denied into WM because she brought her son. It's completely ridiculous.

Single mother says she was denied entry to Walmart because she brought her son

NEWINGTON, Conn. – Stephanie Tsui was just trying to pick up some groceries at her local Walmart in Newington, Connecticut when the store denied her entry and threatened to call the police because she had brought her son along.

“What is a single parent to do? I have no other choice,” Tsui told FOX61. “You can’t tell me that I am the only single parent that is quarantining and social distancing from everyone outside of us.”


According to the FOX61 interview, Tsui and her son had been wearing face masks but were denied by the manager because it is “state law for only one person to be allowed in at a time.”

Tsui told FOX61 the manager told her she would need to have someone watch her son.

According to the Connecticut Food Association the shopping-alone practice is only a recommendation and denying Tsui entry was a misrepresentation of the guideline.

“The guideline is very clear,” said CFA President Wayne Pesce. “Please do it when you can but we all know commonsense tells you that you’re not always going to be able to do that alone. You should never be turned away by the way.”

When FOX61 reached out to Walmart, the company said it “only recommend people shop alone and will contact the Newington location to rectify the situation.”

Tsui said she no longer feels comfortable going to that location and that she has never had a problem at any other Walmart.

Just had a very efficient delivery from Costco using Shipt. Didn't get too much, but I needed dog food. Got a large case of water and five dozen (!) eggs among the items. The gentleman had it at my front door within a couple hours of placing the order.

It's a rather small community, I'm inclined to believe his theory that people are travelling to walk their dogs.
