All stores that don't have them, need to invest in ceiling fans to get circulation and to draw up the microns created from coughing so they don't linger in someone's breathing space.

It's true that a face covering will help protect others from yourself, but it also provides some protection from others. A test was done that showed a simple handkerchief stopped 28% of the microns. Which may not be a lot, but it's better than nothing and may make the difference between enough of the virus particles to reach you to launch an infection or not. A face covering of course will also block all of the larger droplets. But it's important to have at least two layers, so that only the outside layer would be contaminated and not the one touching your mouth or nose.

Of course, outside the smaller microns lingering in the air are not an issue.

I went to Mitsuwa Marketplace and they had a cap of 15 people in the store at a time and masks only with a bouncer to enforce the rules. This was the first grocery store that I’ve been to here that started this but I liked it a lot.

At our store, all employees have been required to wear masks since Monday, and one of the new girls who wasn't (yet) wearing one got shouted at by an irate customer the other day. And yet there are still a handful of customers coming in without masks. If we're getting forced to wear masks, we should bar customers from entering without them, but that'd require having someone stand by the door the entire day to enforce it.

I think the cop should be enforcing that somehow without getting too close. I doubt most people would refuse.

Covid causing young (ish) people to stroke out...

"Our report shows a seven-fold increase in incidence of sudden stroke in young patients during the past two weeks. Most of these patients have no past medical history and were at home with either mild symptoms (or in two cases, no symptoms) of Covid,” he added."

Good thing I'm on blood thinners...

Funny how when China revises their death toll figures everyone screams that it's a conspiratorial outrage!!!

When the UK (and others) does it, there's a collective shrug.

I feel more powerful fighting the virus with gloves on. If I need to take evasive action with my shopping cart, the gloves allow for a non-greasy non-sweaty grip, especially for tight turns, and sudden stops.

An article posted on Yahoo yesterday said a bunch of people in China caught the virus in a restaurant - they believe the air conditioning was responsible. They said the air conditioning circulated the virus to nearby tables. Most of the patrons at the restaurant at the time did not get sick, but the tables closer to the table where an infected person sat were affected, due to the air circulation near those tables spreading the virus farther then it normally would spread. Scary thought.

People need to stop being so judgemental. I know it's the American way, but it needs to stop. Some people are allowed to not wear them due to certain medical conditions, like breathing problems. I saw one middle-aged man in the grocery store today that had no mask, even though it's a requirement in our state to wear them outside. It's quite possible he had a condition that doesn't allow for it. His son was wearing one. Perhaps he only had one and gave it to his son. People need to stop judging others. What happened to standing by each other in a time of crisis?

I agree, as much as I think we all need to do whatever we can to combat this virus, wearing a mask or not should be a personal choice.

Just a suggestion for you (and others who may be doing the same) - check to see if the restaurant you're ordering from has an app or a website. If you can order directly from them, the restaurant gets the full amount and you're not giving a big cut of your order to Seamless.

I just assume everything coming out of China about this is a lie. Add Russia to the list too.
