He's just really run down. Fever, chills, really achy, congested, the works. He didn't cough on the phone at all. I don't believe that anyone gave him any medication.

One of his other roommates has been coughing up a lung, not wearing a mask and hasn't been tested. No fever but....

I also told him I had friends who tested positive already so he didn't feel so hopeless and alone. He's really sensitive about the fact that he has it, I can tell. I think a lot of queer people are really sensitive about testing positive for anything after AIDS. You feel like you did something wrong

Side note - it's amazing to me is how many people don't own a thermometer. I've talked to three people close to me in the last 24 hours who don't have one.
I didn’t have a thermometer myself and started looking everywhere for one but they were all back ordered. I ended up buying a Red Cross newborn baby care kit that included a thermometer off of Amazon, Safety 1st also makes a kit. So far it’s been accurate, matching what my employer’s face thermometer reads.

I went for a beautifully blissful 18-mile run through a big trail system right next to my neighborhood this morning. Social distancing at its finest.

There were a few other runners and hikers out there, but most people weren't clustered together in groups of 10 or so like they were a couple of days ago. I would like to think that folks are slowly getting the message.

I'll add that I've run over 200 miles a month for the past four months. If a total lockdown forbids me from running outside, then I'm going to go completely effing nuts. I'll probably just discreetly sneak off into the woods behind my place for these runs, hoping that nobody will catch me on the trail.

Just want to say that I really appreciate this thread and its general civility. I want to encourage everyone to continue sharing their emotions, stories and experiences, even if they seem trivial. I largely avoid televised news broadcasts, don't own any social media accounts and I'm trying to be careful about falling down an internet rabbit hole. So this has pretty much been my online outlet for this crisis. I've kept up with the posts pretty regularly, and I've been interested in or inspired by them. One thing is universally certain, regardless of what you're going through as an individual: this sucks for everyone.

Going to the supermarket was such a tense experience. Some people did keep their distance, but most did not. Thankfully, nobody was coughing near me in the cold cuts line like that girl two weeks ago.

Give me a break man.
Agreed. Pricks.

I went to the grocery today. I was really running low on nearly everything, and definitely running out completely of certain things. Actually, I tried to go last night. But I hadn't checked to see if they had changed their closing time again, as they had cut it from 11pm to 10pm about a week ago. Apparently, they changed it again, to 9pm. I have only myself to blame -- if I had been smart, I would have checked their website earlier in the evening.

This is definitely one of the main areas where I live. And I was up there at about 9:15pm and there was LITERALLY less than a handful of people in this three block+ area. I've been up there in years previous, in the middle of winter, freezing temperatures and crazy snowfall, and it was much busier and more active. This looked like the last minute or two of a very grim zombie movie, or something.

However, going up today so that I could do the shopping I didn't manage to accomplish last night, very different picture. Granted, almost every place is closed by Executive Order. But the grocery itself was very, very busy. The parking lot was practically full. There were many people inside, and everyone was exercising pretty solid social distancing. What struck me as kind of comical, though, is while everyone was doing a pretty good job of that, they were also trying to be as absolutely subtle about it at the same time.

Oh, also, it was very encouraging that everyone was very much trying to do engaging with one another, even if minimal. People were all nodding and smiling and saying things like, "Excuse me," or "Hello," or "Stay healthy." In other words, people were doing their best to be nice and civil and somehow make each other feel better, even if just a bit here and there.

I haven't left my apartment in some days, other than my daily dog walks in mornings/evenings.

Think I'm gonna have to start doing some really early runs again like I used to, well jogs cause I'm older and my guts bigger haha just to get out. Avoiding stores as much as possible right now.

But i need more fresh air.

Ive been thinking that my mom may have had it.
She was super super sick in January and February.
Headaches, body aches. Throwing up (possibly, can't remember). Sniffles. Extremely bad cough that still hasn't fully gone away.

My whole family had that as well mid-late January. It really hit them all extremely hard, including my 90 year old grandmother. Took 3-4 weeks for everyone to get over it and I wonder if they had it then.

Going stir crazy. Picked up some lunch to go at my local tavern. Chicken Caesar sammich with fries. They toast the Parmesan on the bread. So good. They had arm wrestling on the Ocho. That’s what it’s come to. Lol

I haven't been getting exercise -- in decades, really. Now, I don't drive, so everywhere I go locally is a walk. So that's exercise. But otherwise, not getting any other than around the house.

So, seeing these ads for things like Peloton on TV constantly, it's sort of made me start to think about something like that. I watch a lot of various forms of TV, and there's obviously no reason why I can't exercise on Peloton while I do that.

It's just something I've been considering here and there.

Peloton is giving out a free 3-month digital trial through their app so you'll be able to see if it's for you or not. Plenty of classes on there as well which don't require the bike.

I feel sorry for my brother having to stay inside because he can't sit still. I gave him my vudu password so he could watch some movies and when I just logged on I noticed that he started or got halfway through about 25 different movies before giving up. He is probably about to lose it.

I live out in the middle of nowhere so at least I can get out and stretch my legs, can't imagine what those who live in cramped cities who are staying inside must be going through.
