The cough is dry for Convid I believe. If you were coughing stuff up then it may be just a normal cold/flu.

I only had a couple of coughing fits, nothing major and I had more constant chills and only a couple of high fevers. The worst part for me was the chest and there were a couple of scary moments where I didn't know how bad it was going to get and then as quickly as it came it was gone. My eyes were really gunked up as well which nearly drove me insane as it made me want to touch them all the time!

My chest still feels weird and tightens up on occasion, but everything else apart from a bit of a runny nose is gone.

The USA has a smaller population and had the outbreak for a shorter period of time than China, yet we skyrocketed in cases and surpassed China's numbers in a heartbeat! Seriously, it's absolutely pathetic. China is not to blame for this pandemic because we could've controlled it, but we didn't!
Not all countries have the same reporting standards and what qualifies as a reported case. There have been many claims that China isn't counting and reporting certain cases. Honestly, I don't trust the numbers from China.

However, according to the Coronavirus maps, China only had 548 cases on 21 Jan 2020 and no reported cases prior to that. Thus that would make it 2 months for China. We can keep throwing out the 4 month number, but quite frankly I haven't seen any numbers for those two prior months.

Why are people still stating China's numbers as fact?

The morgues in Wuhan just got thousands of urns each, but 2500 deaths total in Wuhan? Right.

Well if they are lying, then that would mean they are SEVERELY understating their numbers, which would be even more concerning to me.

We already know they tried to hide the outbreak in China and then they had the audacity to push their propaganda that the US Army brought the coronavirus to Wuhan.

What's more is the WHO went along with China's misinformation campaign.

A shit load of Asian Americans went to china during the Chinese new year and came back into the country with the virus. China has had this virus since the summer of 2019, and yes they are to blame, they new about it and kept it hidden from the world. It could have been contained much quicker. A lot of people were very sick in America with the flu this past Jan-Feb before we knew what covid19 was. Looking back I bet a lot of those "flu" cases were the actual virus. I was one of them, I was deathly ill in mid feb. I really thought i was going to die, I've had to flu in the past and this was much worse. Doctor said its the flu, the virus took about 2 weeks to fully run its course. I was left with my voice gone for a week afterwards cause of all the coughing i did during the duration. Also if you think China is reporting accurate numbers you're an clueless.

Quote:
Over half of the deaths have come from Europe, with over 10,000 in Italy and 5,000 in Spain. China has reported over 3,000 deaths, followed by 2,417 in Iran, 2,314 in France, 1,891 in the United States and 1,019 in the United Kingdom.
We have the most cases but a very low death number. That number is very important, just Thank GOD our health system here is so good. Certain people complain about it (not going to say who cause its political) but just look at the outcome. Like SARS this will run its course and life with go on. We can try to prepare for these things the best we can. But it is what it is

The sputum percentage is still fairly high. The symptoms are so variable. I do remember having some aches in my legs, maybe a headache or two.

Mr. HT i actually think you being on the internet is much worse than you getting the virus at this point. You've honestly lost your mind. if i knew where you lived i would call your cable provider and have them take away your internet.

Hmm, I had the flu in mid-February and got the flu shot during the Fall. You think I had the Coronavirus? I really doubt it because the sickness hit me really suddenly but I fully recovered in a week. Covid-19 is not like that. It's slow and painful and takes a long time to recover.

Two of my friends have covid19 right now and one had symptoms for ONE DAY. and literally back to normal. He has no taste or smell for 6 days now but thats it. Not everybody symptoms are the same. So many people are carriers, so many people show no to little symptoms.

Ok, I admit I'm freaking out. But don't you think our exorbitant number of cases is worth freaking out about tho?

No. Its a viral virus that attacks the lungs. Majority of the people that are healthy and under 50 are all beating this. The elderly and people with pre existing conditions are at high risk, just like the flu which kills thousands a year.

I was watching the news the other day and they were showing people in their 20s in the hospital. They were saying young people can die too of this disease!

Of course they can. A lot of people that feel sick are going to the hospital thinking they have it. You should stay home unless you really can't breathe on your own anymore. They can't do anything for you if you just have flu-like symptoms. Also stop watching the news.

I usually don't get sick very often and when I do it's usually brief, but Thanksgiving night I came down with something and had fatigue, sputum, cough, muscle aches, sore throat, chills, and nasal congestion. It seemed to improved and then got worse again until I felt better a week later. For another week I didn't feel 100%. This was very unusual for me.

Then around Christmas, I had soreness in the chest (assumed I pulled something in the chest when setting up the Christmas tree, at the time, since I had been reaching underneath the tree, and I may have) as well as a dry cough and a sore throat.

Then last month, I ended up with conjunctivitis which I don't recall ever having before.

Either way it's been a strange season given I'm rarely sick, but in hindsight my wife does wonder if we actually had the virus back then.

Yeah, I probably should. Now that I think about it, I feel like I probably did end up with this virus back in February. Because the day before I called out sick from work (which was a Monday), I was dry coughing like crazy because my throat was scratchy and sore. I thought I was developing a cold so I didn't think much of it. The next day, I couldn't get up, had a migraine headache, and a fever. So I was out for the rest of the week from work. Then I returned to work on Monday because I was finally feeling better thankfully. Then my colleague who sits next to me didn't come in that day because he said he had the flu. I must've passed it onto him when I came in the week before coughing that day. But lucky for him, he recovered in two days and was back to work that Wednesday. Then the following week, my boss calls out sick the entire week because she said she has the flu. I was like, what the hell?! I've never seen sickness pass on like this in my life.

So I really wonder if all those trends of sickness at my job was the Coronavirus...
