I would say perhaps half that over the course of a year or more maybe. And if things did start exploding, more and more places will quarantine, if not the country as a whole.
I've been having massive anxiety over this (as many are, of course), but I hope there's some truth in your optimism. I'm trying to find any positivity in this. I'm not as worried about the virus as I am about getting the meds I need to survive, so that I can protect/support my family. But I'm not sleeping and my health is deteriorating already, so who needs a virus?!

No it hasn't. There hasn't been enough large studies yet to show either way whether it will work, but there is enough evidence to try using it.

Bottomline: Death rate is SLOWING in “rich” countries that can institute Stay at Home (like USA).

I edited to add the link. My point about larger studies being needed was there from the start. I'm sorry you somehow didn't realize that a study with 30 participants, and limited scope wasn't enough to say whether a drug regimen is effective or not.

Here is the conclusion from the study you're linking too:

Quote:
The researchers concluded that additional studies using larger numbers of patients are needed to fully investigate the drug’s risks and benefits.

Thought this was interesting:

"I heard a theory stipulating that, after not only surviving, but thriving through

-cold war
-threats of nuclear war
-counterculture movement
-unrest of the civil rights era
-vietnam war
-oil crisis
-hiv/aids
-stock market crash
-dot com burst
-9/11 and the "war on terror"
-the great recession

Many Americans, especially older ones, lack the judgmental framework for dealing with a crisis of the scale of COVID-19. Their minds are simply not wired to consider the current situation as something they won't get through."

Yes a link to an article that makes War and Piece look like a ****ing short story which I was reading while you were being a rude dick.

It was pretty obvious from my post that didn't have your updated link in it that it was written before you edited it.

Think you meant to say 'especially younger ones'...

They're going to try enforce social distancing on the train, but there's really not a lot that can be done. Lots of people still need it to go to work. The city is actually making the problem worse by reducing service making more people crowd into one train. If anything services should be increased to allow people to bypass a train and wait for another if there's too big of a crowd.

Whoever is taking the video is spending an awfully long amount of time on that ladies butt. Perverts everywhere, no one is safe. Hide your kids, hide your wife.
