Everywhere in my area has been sold out for weeks.
It's only been 3 weeks of this, every day seems like a year.
The stay at home order in my state is until June 10th, and possibly could be extended.
It's like having to serve prison sentences for crimes that we did not commit.
When this started I was supposed to get an eye exam and get new eyeglasses.
I can hardly see out of my current pair, because the anti scratch coating is failing.
The birds are a happily chirping, at least they don't have to deal with this horrible crisis.
It's a beautiful sunny, yet I cannot enjoy it, or anybody else.

Which state is that? That date more likely means the schools are closed for the rest of the year. I can't imagine any state issuing a SAH that last longer than a month or so, much less 2 months (where I live in California it's until May 3rd).

I've also heard about a drug called Hydrochloriquine (sorry if I might spelled it wrong), that can help with the symptoms of this virus.
If it indeed works, it's needs to be approved for use now on patients, we're talking lives that can be saved.
At least that would be something thats effective until there is a vaccine.

Ford and GM are undertaking a warlike effort to produce ventilators. It may fall short and come too late

This week, union workers at a Ford manufacturing plant outside Detroit raced to set up new production lines. But instead of making hybrid car batteries, the usual output from the factory, they are preparing to churn out tens of thousands of ventilators, joining the sprint against the clock to fight the coronavirus.

Scrambling to get production underway, the workers took apart a ventilator and 3-D scanned each of the roughly 300 parts, creating computer simulations of how the device could be assembled efficiently. Ford, which has partnered with a ventilator-maker and GE Healthcare, has been rushing to train workers and obtain the parts to have its first prototype ready early next week.

Hydroxychloroquine is already being used alongside azithromycin. Doctors are saying the earlier a patient is treated with those drugs the better/earlier the results they're seeing.

Yup. My right eye is basically useless. Been holding off getting glasses for a few years now - but this was gonna be the year I finally did it. Sigh. At least my other eye works.
