Well since more businesses are opening up here in Texas more ppl are out and about. I had to run to the store a lil bit ago to grab a couple essentials. I was the only person wearing any type of mask.

Wearing a mask is very uncomfortable for me. Especially it being hot weather here. But I'm doing it...

I do wonder what happens in say Georgia, when the cases shoot up. Do they just keep everything open, cause the Fed Mandate to have 14 days of dropping cases didn't seem to deter them from opening up stuff in the first place.

I kind of think the small minority of loud Americans might get what they want, everything open, more death.

Apparently anyone who gets technical error 109 was someone who was a zero filer (reddit link) (2018 and 2019 taxes filed but with no refund nor no tax owed) and the system doesn't know how to process it for direct deposit.

I was thinking 8 weeks (it was in the news, I swear) for getting the stimulus check, but it actually turned out to be 8 days from when I made this post.

Trump could have his picture on it instead of the Statue of Liberty at this point and I wouldn't mind.

It's not a mandate. It was a suggestion. The Fed can't order shelter-in-place. Only the states can do that.

That's because the IRS initially said checks wouldn't start to go out until May 1. They started sending checks this week.

It was the Treasury Sec. who decided to put Trump's signature on the checks.

I finally got the "you're eligible" message when trying to check the status today, and I set up direct deposit for it, so we'll see how long it takes.

Exact same issue with me. I figure they might have prioritized me lower based on income, but I might be wrong. It's not like I need the money right away, so I can wait. Still annoying though.

But I have not yet received the stimulus payment.

I have yet to hear anyone on SS or SSDI that have gotten their payment in. I now people on SSI and VA haven't either.

Well for one thing, staying at home is easy.... just stay at home. No effort involved. Wearing a mask... again, easy. Wash your hands... another easy task (takes no more than 2 minutes to do). So yeah, getting through this is easy, but people are just stubborn.

Still no stimulus money for me or my girlfriend. Both of us mailed in our taxes last month. No idea if they even processed our tax refunds before shutting down paper tax refund processing due to the virus. Putting our info in on "Get my Payment" gives no information. No idea what we should do. They don't have our direct deposit info, but we were going to put it in on the "Get my payment" screen. But we can't get that far. You can file a request for the stimulus if you haven't filed your taxes or don't need to file this year, but we both mailed our returns already, so we can't do that I'm assuming. No idea what to do about this. We both qualify.

All we get is "Payment Status Not Available".

Still no idea how to fill in those stupid fields.

I live in an apartment. I prepared my taxes online and printed them out as I had to mail them. There's a box already filled in for the apartment number (Apt. no.). But on their "Get my payment" page, there's no place to put in the apartment number. So how do I enter it? Avenue is abbreviated as ave on the return.

My zip code is listed as the main 5 digits plus the additional 4. Do I list those last 4 or not?

Do I do the slashes for the date of birth like it shows, with the full 4-digit year? Or leave out the slashes?

So I have no idea if they haven't processed our returns, and if they will even get to them at all anytime in the next few months, or if we're just not entering the info in exactly as they want it. Horrible site.

According to some posts on Reddit, they are using your current registered USPS address, so regardless of what you filled in on your tax return, use your current USPS address. I'm not sure how the USPS has mine registered exactly. Ave.? Avenue? apt? Apartment?

AFAIK, those that receive SS and Railroad $ will be getting their money direct deposited sometime next week. I too get SS and have not seen the $1200. We are paid last (by DD) because we get a monthly income that is not affected by the pandemic.
