We have a drive-in here but I don't think they'll be open. I haven't been there since I was a kid though.
Drive-ins are more for the fun experience of being out and getting to eat or stretch out or whatever in your car during the movie. They don't offer the same premium image/sound quality a normal theater gives you.

Regarding asymptomatic carriers, it's not really known how infectious they are, but one study estimated that they cause only about 5 percent of new infections to others, even though they account for a large share of the people who have it.

It basically amounts to the amount of virus particles in those droplets from speaking, sneezing, etc. If a person is not going to get sick from it, then it makes sense that they won't have quite the viral load accumulating to cause sickness, as those who do get sick. And so won't pass it on to others as easily.

Right. That's why I wouldn't want to see a movie for the first time in that setting. I'd only go for an older movie that I know and love, for the kitsch factor. And I certainly wouldn't want to sit through two of them.

I feel like it'd be one of those "do it to say you did it" things.

I had to get away from my friends who were all losers and potheads (including myself). Was able to shake the habit a few years later and I still go back to visit every few years. But it gets more foreign to me every time I go back. It's totally different. Plus the weather sucks. But as a kid it offered the freedom to roam (in a small suburb called Evansdale) all over town, which was a great way to grow up.

I only remember once going to a theater back then. It was always the drive-in. The freedom and privacy, and the expense, was more appealing than how new or good the movie itself was. My mom used to take us kids and then as a teen it was the best option for dates or partying with friends.

Nearly all businesses have re-opened around here and there are no more limits on how many people can be out in groups. Locals are basically 'back to normal' and mostly without masks or any care about anyone other than themselves. It's pretty sad.

Well...time will tell. Protect yourself and your family as best as you can. Everyone else is on their own.

That's my attitude at this point - you do you and I'll do me. Don't criticize how I choose to handle this and I won't say anything to you.

Yeah, it says the same thing everyday...
Info/Status not available

Normally, I wouldn't care, but WV just started taking out for medical coverage even though I've never had that done before in any of the previous states and my rent increased because landlord is out of work due to virus.

Every time I move or change banks, I always call and update my info with Disability and Social Services.

Here's my message that I just received from that website:

Put your address in all caps, fully spell out anything like Street, or Avenue, etc.. Doing some combination of those changes has worked for some getting that message.

We're going to basically turn the World into the Adult Film industry, people will need tests the day before and sign off that they won't be coming into contact with anybody else until they see you.

The UK's tracing App sounds like a farce. If a person contracts the virus and gets tested, they're days from knowing the result, so they can basically catch the virus at a gathering with friends, go home, then get on a train to go to work the next day, get off the train an get a text that they're infected.

Unless we can develop on the spot testing and results cases are just going to spike every time restrictions are lessened.

The on the spot testing will come when they develop a chip inserted under the skin, in perhaps a "tattoo," that can monitor somehow, if a person has, or had the virus of the week... And, be like an RFID, for tracing.

Picked up my 1 bottle running waist pack from Big 5 today that I bought because I somehow lost one of my bottle lids on Sunday. Saw an old customer walk right up to another customer and ask her how to do curbside pick-up.

Also see people outside who are taking waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long to turn and are still using the other lane as they turn quite widely.

Here's my message that I just received from that website:

The Govt. is happy when their web portals work for most people. That 1-2% that is doesn't work for on rollout, is still in the Millions, isn't it.

Then they publish shit like... "We've had a 98% success rate..." to spin it.
