It actually looks like New Mexico has both flattened the curve but is trending downward. I'd say this is probably at least as much due to the sparse population as due to the governor's half-measures.

Half measures? Theaters are closed. Restaurants can't offer inhouse dining. Retail establishments are operating at 50% capacity.

This is true but I think in order for her to get to where she wants to go (kids in school) she needs to see what happens when she re-opens less risky establishments first.

And the tax revenue coffers continue to dwindle. If she is counting on Congress to bail NM out, she will be in for a rude awakening. The problem with NM has been it's dependency on the oil industry for revenue. That didn't work at all this year. And it continues to get worse.

Within the next few days, it’s looking like the college football season will be canceled.

‘welp, we just scored a field goal to now make it 60 – 6….looks like we may be gaining control of this game after all despite the visitors now using their second-team roster.

Lots of immigrant workers trucked into various countries in Europe and North America to work planting/harvesting food crops - and while they get paid, it's really not much better than forced labour and they're housed in crappy conditions. So they tend to get hard hit with Covid.

America has been exposed by covid but the deep long term rot has been growing for quite some time. I wish things were looking to get better but our manufactured division and outlook ensures countless deaths. It sucks to be here right now

I watched some videos from the Sturgis Bike Rally this weekend on YouTube. Pretty much zero masks or Social Distancing. If people want to go out fine but at least wear a mask and social distance instead of just pretending Covid doesn’t exist.

Yeah I still think most of this country could use like a 15-20 minute Zoom learning session on why all of the COVID-19 protocols are important to getting this pandemic under control.

Don't worry. Cases will go down when warm weather comes.... oh wait, it is summer already and it's ending soon! Never mind.

Celebs and politicians are going to be exposed a lot more than the average person. Surprised that we haven't heard of more cases and I'll bet that most of them are being kept secret (and many more never knew they had it).

Looks like Spain is having a major outbreak in cases again, nearly 9,000 over the weekend alone. I think this calls into question any sort of herd immunity at a lower threshold. Italy too are seeing surges in numbers.
