Considering that everyone else everywhere despises the film, I'm pressing X for doubt on that being legit.....

Clickbait, the article (paywalled I might add to why it spread fast) only said that Sony is focusing on Beyond The Spider-Verse and Spider-Noir now. Nothing about cancelling the SSU.

It's like saying the MCU is dead in the water because they're focusing more on Fantastic Four instead of something like Captain America 4.

Unfortunately, it leads to YouTubers using that article to get people to believe the SSU is dead I am already seeing videos from people saying just that. One video literally said the SSU is dead, which is absolutely ridiculous also yes I want to watch the Kraven the Hunter film it looks like a lot of fun. Call me crazy but that trailer was pretty cool same with the last Venom film I want to watch that one, and the first one. Morbius, and Madame Web though are both garbage so I won’t be watching either of those films.

IF the Marvel movies under Sony are ending with Kraven, I'm not sure that would affect anyone already interested in seeing Kraven since there pretty much isn't any connection to any of the characters in the movies anyway from Sony's non-Spider-Man characters if not mistaken.

So not much of a multi-verse to worry about even if this is the last film. Unlike with DC Comics Verse that ended and how that affected fan interest.

The trailer looked hopeful so I'll probably give it a go.

This particular part of the film is crap (in my opinion) but it's also only a brief moment in an otherwise pretty okay movie (in my opinion). I don't think much of the 63% of critics liking it overall has anything to do with this moment.

I think much of the general audience that did see it (considering it performed poorly) thought it was fine. I wouldn't even doubt that 8/10 people would say that they liked it. I'd definitely remind you that the general audience is certainly less passionate about these movies than those of us here, on Twitter/Reddit/etc. The people I've personally talked to IRL about The Flash that aren't "comic book movie people" all thought it was "Okay" to "Good". My neighbour was excited to see Michael Keaton Batman and had no other thoughts on it. He simply clicked on it because it was on streaming.

The Sonyverse is like The Emperor's New Clothes if the townspeople had never even bought into it the ruse, yet the King still pranced around naked.

Really enjoyed The Flash, despite this moment and the CGI abomination. Luckily the movie was fun and had a lot of heart. Loved Keaton too. And especially Supergirl.

How do Sony keep ****ing this half. At this point the best thing they could do is sell the rights to these characters

I think the trailers are good for Kraven. That's a positive thing IMO.

If the trailer looked bad, I wouldn't be interested, but I'm not worried if a movie has critics who don't like it if I like the trailer, since it's the 1st selling point for me.

If the trailer didn't look interesting, then I'd have much less interest and only then, if it got good ratings/reviews, would that help a little.
