Looking forward to seeing you this coming weekend!

I'm looking forward to hearing about the ultimate results and comparisons of:

Samsung 8500 series
Samsung 9000 series (not enamored of the curves, just curious)
Sony 950b series (I've heard a lot of horror stories about QC on these sets)
LG 9800 series (I've heard black levels aren't too good, and haven't seen one in real life that had a decent black level)

Of the store samples I've seen of these, they hold the most interest. I'm looking for the biggest screen possible (78" to 84") and don't see much to brag about in Sony's 900a 78".

I may have to wait, but I want to see what the experts are saying after they've tweaked things a bit.

Hope it goes well - I'm in California, can't be there, but I'll try to tune in.

Sorry Wingman can't make it this year.

This year's event will be our best! Great special VIP guest speakers, like Joe Kane and Dr. Larry Weber and all of the manufactures presenters are top senior engineers that will address technology advancements.

We're building the Shootout wall all week and the new TVs look beautiful!

The 2014 attendees are in for a real treat!

Enjoy!

-Robert
I won't watch it online either (I don't want to be torturing myself for not being able to be there). I'll look forward to the results.

My goodness 5? If that is not simply a radiographic diagnosis and you are truly symptomatic due to 5 HNPs then, given the assumption you live somewhere in the N.Y. area, I would recommend you see someone at HSS…http://www.hss.edu/ as the ranking is justified, but….fair warning, they are not inexpensive.

They consider the charges a value proposition. Worked for me . I traveled cross country just to have certain orthopedic surgery performed there a few years back.

Things are heating up here. Today we received LG's new OLED 55EC9300 and it looks stunning! We also received Sony's 85" X950B and it's also stunning.

Tomorrow is another big day here with LG's 84" UB9800 and Wednesday or Thursday we're getting in one more surprise TV.

The TV Shootout wall is beyond words. I'm very excited to host this year's TV Shootout evaluation!

BTW, we still have a few seats available and I'd love to have more forum members join us. Send us an email if you can attend Saturday or Sunday's event.

MRI is scheduled on Thursday. I used to live down the block from Yankee Stadium. I live in Philly now Thanks for the link its very informative. I'll have to check with my insurance and see if they are covered. I'LL shoot you a PM when I get my results I don't want to derail this thread.

Thanks for the well wishes. A bad back seems pale in comparison to a heat attack. Your bluray family are glad that you are with us.

Take your meds to help ease the pain at least an hour or so before you’re due on the table. Take as much time needed to get real comfy….don’t be shy in asking the tech for more pillows, support, etc., and testing them out.

Then try to remain as still as you can when they give you the *warnings* by dreaming about viewing or better yet, winning, one of dem high end displays that Robert is showing at his event.

In other words, try to take your mind off your back, the test and the surroundings as you'll get better images (without artifact) that way.

Thanks for the tips. I haven't heard them before. Laying down is easy. Its the only position where I get the least amount of pain. I deff need the clearest results possible.

Thanks Once again.

Is that a 21:9 screen in one of the pictures? Looks pretty snazzy.
