I also have a 2016 LG OLED (OLED55B6). I updated my Oppo UDP-203 to the latest beta firmware and did a factory reset as you suggested. The Dolby Vision problems with this film seem to be fixed now. Thanks for the helpful suggestion!

This is a very strange request, but does anybody have the artwork for the 4k release for sale/trade? I purchased the disc only, and the 3D combo pack import, and the OCD in me would prefer to house them in a 3 disc case with the 4k artwork.
Apologies for the inappropriateness of the category thread post. TIA

My god, watching this on UHD, was like seeing it for the first time.

All the issues I had with the theatrical version, just melted away. The HDR grade has been very kind to some of the more obvious CGI elements, (although Black Panther v Killmonger is still two cartoon dudes hitting each other over and over again).

Which cover/artwork looks nicer in your opinion?

The UK 3D art, without all the stickers and banner. My favorite artwork from this movie was the D23 poster (Ryan Meinerding is amazing), I know people tend to dislike hand-drawn artwork but I really wish they would've used it on something.

Korean 3D is still the best tbh but I like the tweaked theatrical poster on the US UHD.

I purchased the US 4K (w/slipcover) and the UK 3D (no slipcover), so I want to place both the 3D and 4K discs all in one case. Do you think I should keep the 3D case to hold both discs and toss the 4K case instead?

Just put everything in a 3-disc 4K case with the slipcover on top. Pick whichever art you want on the case itself.

The UK 3D bluray cases is huge. It doesn't fit the US 4K slipcover

Pretty much all UK bluray cases are bigger than the US ones. It’s been that way forever.

I thought size of bluray cases was universal. Now my US slipcover is a total waste and I already sold the US case with the standard bluray in it.

Sony 3-Disc 4K cases in the US are the same thickness as your UK one, i.e. the cases used for Ghostbusters remake, Da Vinci Code, Close Encounters. Just buy one of those.

Did your UK 3D copy arrive without a slipcover? Where did you buy from?

I specifically ordered the UK 3D copy because of its superior slipcover so I sure hope my copy arrives with a slip.

I don't have any empy Sony 3-disc 4K case laying around so I just grabbed the 4K disc and just placed it in the 3D case along with the 3D bluray and standard bluray that came with it.
The 4K slipcover is trashed from trying too hard to make the 3D case fit in it

After finally getting to watch the 3D version with 7.1 DTS MasterHD sound, yeah, I'd have to agree the sound is not great. Once, the volume is raised up to where it should be (almost 0dB here once again), the bass levels here are almost crazy loud (almost cool really, except they overdo the earthquake thing in so many scenes that it loses something). Vocals are clear. Surround sounds go to the back often. But sound effects lack "punch" (worse than Thor 3, IMO where it's at least "decent" sounding once the volume it up in that regard--meaning the punches there were better than here, IMO. It's not the worst thing I've ever heard, but it should be better to match the visuals. I don't know what Disney is doing to these soundtracks lately, but some are worse than others). So it's not just the Atmos mix that lacks.

It DID have a very nice 3D picture, though (didn't notice any crushed blacks and the LG player can actually boost light levels even further making daylight shots in 3D actually look like daylight instead of like having sunglasses on. No more PS4 for BD playback for me).
