And there were a lot of expanded IMAX scenes in this movie. If they ever start including them in the Marvel 4K releases this one definitely deserves it.

I originally pre-ordered tickets for one of the Thursday-night previews (in real IMAX), but I canceled my ticket during the morning preceding it; I just don't feel motivated to go out and see it. I rarely see movies that are part of the MCU in theaters; in fact, the only one that I've seen in theaters is Marvel's Avengers (2012), and I actually fell asleep while watching it because I had already seen it numerous times on bootleg (shouldn't have done that). However, despite my knack for not patronizing any of the MCU films while they're in theaters, I can say with certainty that I'll be seeing Infinity War in theaters; that's going to be a game-changer and an incredible cinematic experience.

Tomorrow will be my third day off from work; maybe I'll see Black Panther then...maybe not.

This film is the game changer. We've already had 2.5 Avengers movies.

IW has it's work cut out for it to be better than this.

Lol, it's always so cute when people call a film a 'game changer.' It's not.

Modern films, especially blockbusters, are made on an assembly line, with happy meal/action figure tie-ins, and then they're forgotten a couple months after their release.

A "game changer" is '2001: A Space Odyssey.' Something that has stood the test of time for decades, and continues to inspire modern filmmakers in ways that films from the 2000s never could.

'Black Panther', while solid, and finally featuring a large amount of black culture, cast and crew members, is still just a silly comic book movie at the end of the day. With the same Marvel schlocky humor, and unbelievably bad-rendered CGI sequences.

Absolutely no game changer here. The Marvel/DC franchises are just industrially stamped out superhero flicks with little to no imagination or quality scripting. Black Panther is no different.

It's commodity film-making at its finest, just like Wonder Woman. If these studios put as much into their stories as their special effects (not saying much as the CG quality is getting pretty wonky), then we can talk.

I was speaking in terms of being a cinematic experience when I said "game-changer," but in regard to Black Panther, what I've read is that it's a game-changer from a meta perspective (due to the racial makeup of the cast and director) but not in terms of being a cinematic experience.

You hang on to that. Black Panther is that to you. But, to other people, it's a game changing experience.

If you want to see a game changer, go see ‘Annihilation’ this weekend. That film has more brains and more ideas in it, than any scene in Black Panther.

Elbie, look into a reconditioned 203, they are 20% less (~$439), factory direct, full like new warranty. Besides checking the Oppo website, JohnAV has recommended to others to call Oppo from time to time to see if available before they get put on the website.

Guys - throw these people on the Ignore list and move on, you know you'll never change someone's opinion on the internet.

Native 4K. Very awesome results for the DI and my collection. Still need to watch in cinemas.

The 3D in this film was pretty good, anyone know of a 4k/3D combo getting released in any country?

Probably Japan. GotGv2 and Thor are getting 4K + 3D releases there, and Cars 3 and Pirates 5 were 4K + 3D as well.

Warner also regularly releases 4K + 3D in Japan. They're region A (like the US) and they love 4K AND 3D so let us be thankful for Japan.

Seems they are using that image, for the Target Exclusive edition, so we'll probably get a different cover for the regular edition.
