The box art for GOTG Vol 2 says “11 out of 10” on it. Disney just loves to exaggerate.

Personally thought it was a good movie, not great, but I am glad to see it was a success. It was still a Marvel movie, and it had more depth and drama than the last few, but it’s still clearly a movie for families. I don’t think it comes close to The Dark Knight trilogy or Snyder’s DC films but I think Black Panther was probably the best since Guardians 1. Which was four years ago and for some critics/audience that might feel like forever.

One laughing gif counts as riled up, I guess. Condolences on living a milquetoast life.

Three glasses of wine. This fangirl is far from riled.

I’m the biggest MCU fan pretty much ever and my only response to that is “oh hey he has a different opinion than me that he’s entitled to”

That PG-13 on the bottom left of the cover doesn’t look very official....I’m sure the official is the other design..

No gold border for BP's 4K cover?

If this is the final art, looks like Disney is changing from how their previous three releases (Coco, Thor:Ragnarok, SW: The Last Jedi) differed between their standard Blu-ray (silver border) and 4K (gold border) editions.

Most likely the same artwork, though differences in finish and embossing.

I finally went and saw Black Panther tonight with friends. The movie really is as good as reported. I especially enjoyed how the film fully embraces both the tribal society and the tribal music. It pulls it off with great effect, without it being overbearing, too simplistic, or unwelcoming. The actors all did a fantastic job and had great charisma. I have very few gripes or criticisms, which I can't say about some of the other Marvel movies. This one ranks as one of the best.

9/10 for a perfect Marvel movie.

We just went to this movie today, and like most folks, enjoyed it. I did have one issue with the picture, though. We watched in 3D (I'm not a big 3D fan) and when I put my 3D glasses on, it felt like I was watching with sunglasses on. The picture seemed very dim, especially early on. I'm not sure if this was due to the film, or the lousy projector being used in the sub par theater we were in. Anyone else notice this?

When I saw BR2049 at the Seoul SGV IMAX, the sound blew me away.
Then, in that same theater I saw THOR: RAGNAROK and it sounded like crap. I also saw SW: TLJ and it sounded like crap.
I came to realize that Disney blu-rays have been sounding like crap lately, such as COCO, GotG2, THOR: RAGNAROK, SW: TLJ, and other recent titles.

I chose not to see Black Panther for $20 in theater because of the sound issues that I have come to realize is inherent in the Disney audio department before release to theaters (which is then ported to physical media with the same lack of dynamic range and anemic LFE).

I sure hope they fix this soon, because I want to enjoy BP with a more immersive audio experience than what Disney's been shitting out lately.

Can it be said that the 4K Blu-ray will be equivalent to IMAX Blu-ray in resolution and quality?

Are there any chances for the 4K Blu-ray to release in India?
