Black Panther 4K UHD (2018)

I liked Black Panther, but I think a lot of it's success was based on timing and lack of any competition at that box office.

It's a fact. Add up all the 4k releases (US releases, that is. I'm not totaling up every release in every country. It's bad enough just doing the 300+ US UHD movies and all the different versions of each movie) and GotG 2 is #1.

As of April 21 the top 20 in collections on this site (which I think is useful if only because we are all on this site so seeing what your fellow blu-ray nuts like is interesting, no?)

We on this forum like our comic book movies. We like Blade Runner. And we like Christopher Nolan. All Christopher Nolan movies are well-represented in collections.

EDIT: Since this is the Black Panther thread I'll say that it's already in over 500 collections and The Last Jedi was only in 750 the week before its release. Black Panther is going to sell tons.

It's my impression from reading this forum that Disney currently has a very bad reputation for delivering anemic audio so why then do you expect Black Panther to be a top contender in the audio department?

Winter Soldier included a very solid soundtrack. We can't just assume that Disney = anemic soundtrack, every single time

Yeah but to be fair Winter Soldier is some time back. From what I've read on this forum it seems currently all their releases, be it their own stuff or Marvel/Pixar/Lucasfilm have been released with anemic audio. At least that's my impression from reading through the threads in this forum.

Except Paddington 2 puts them both to shame.

But lets hope Disney have fixed their anemic audio practices by the time this one is released. Hopefully the backlash har reached them so that it's still hope Black Panther may have the best audio this year.

Unless WB messes it up somehow, Ready Player One's UHD is gonna melt eyeballs. Also (totally different aesthetic) MI Fallout should look dope.

If it has room for the 4K and regular BD, you could always remove the regular BD and put in the 3D disc so that you have the best of both worlds.

Many complained about the bad CG work with Black Panther in Civil War (airport scene). Is the same bad CG noticeable here at all?

I watched Civil War again in prep for Infinity War. The CG was fine.
