Many seems to think that the CG on Black Panther during the airport fighting sequences was awful. But I agree with you, it all worked well to my eyes

Who is this "many"? Because I'm active in several Marvel fan communities and this is literally the first I've heard of complaints about the CGI on Black Panther in Civil War.

He looks a bit 'floaty' in the airport fight but then most of them do in that sequence.

Black panther looks worst in the car chase scene in Civil War where he's leaping around on the cars etc. The airport scene has bad cg in general though imo.

You can really tell they replaced all of his full suit shots in Civil War with a CG model.

I agree. I thought the airport scene in Civil War had some of the worst CGI in the entire franchise. But Spider-Man was the worst example of that ---- he doesn't even remotely look real.

I thought the CG in Black Panther was pretty bad as well in terms of T'Challa's fight scenes, especially the opening fight in the dark. I loved the film but that being the start of the action sequences in the film was rough.

I was able to place the 3D Blu-ray disc for Thor: Ragnarok over the 2D Blu-ray disc in the Best Buy Steelbook case.

Again, I watched again it on Saturday and have no idea what you're talking about. And I hate bad CG as much as the rest.

The only noticeably poor VFX in Civil War are some green screen shots. Other than that I still think it looks pretty great. It's either Civil War or Doctor Strange for best VFX in the franchise IMHO.

Sure, even the airport scene didn't look as janky as it did before when I rewatched it the other night. But Spidey in particular still looks like he has no mass and the texture on the suit is far too smooth, it just doesn't do it for me.

Gonna see IW tomoz, what do I rewatch now guys? Homecoming or Winter Soldier?

I think Iron Man 1 holds up better as 10 year-old CGI than Civil War does as 2 year-old CGI.

The airport scene looks pretty bad to me. The green screen is obvious, especially the cars and other objects littered throughout. And Iron Man’s suit just looks distracting the entire film. The lighting never quite matches and if you look at RDJ’s neck it will ruin the film.

Worst effects in the whole franchise I’d probably have to give to Homecoming and Black Panther though. Best is Dr Strange and the Galaxy films.

I'd say Winter Soldier cause it's so dang cool, but Homecoming might provide more of a payoff and make more sense as a lead in to IW.

Yeah, I was leaning towards Homecoming. Haven't actually watched the UHD disc yet, I was hoping to save that for a Dolby Vision viewing when the ZD9 got an update but no disc player will work with the Sony DV implementation as of yet. Homecoming it is!

The problem with Spider-Man is that he doesn' look like he is even an organic being with a bodyweight while suited up. The moment the mask comes off he looks 'real again...like a cheap trick

Oh, yes.

Awful green screen work up the wazoo.

In the fan comminities I'm in, the CGI complaints in the Airport Battle are more focused at Iron Man/War Machine, Spider-Man, Vision and Giant-Man (the obviously 100% CGI characters) than Black Panther (who is a live-action actor enhanced by CGI most of the time).
