It's TIME. All these MCU films have *thousands* of VFX CG shots, with something like a dozen different vendors (and some vendors are just plain better than others - you can't have ILM do the entire film because ILM is busy with several other different projects). They have a hard release date decided years in advance. They do the best they can with the time allotted to them.

Unfortunately, they also have to outsource some of their VFX shots. Not to get political, but this also goes hand-in-hand with Hollywood not wanting to treat the VFX industry well. Goes back to a few years ago, when points were being raised during the Oscar season, as to how VFX artists weren't being compensated for overtime. They weren't being given a platform to unionize. All those sorts of things--and, well, clearly, things haven't changed much.

But, all of that aside, even from the perspective of time constraints, it still doesn't make up for the disappointments in a lot of these renderings; especially as of late. The worst offense is that sequence in Thor: Ragnarok, where Hela is taking out all of those Asguardian defenders. The CG-renders of the clothing, especially the capes/cloaks, were unbelievably awful!

Since I ordered this last month I'm been debating about is this steelbook worth $34.99? Never seen the movie in theaters but loved the idea of the movie as well. The reviews are coming in and it seems to be so so along with the audio. I know if I cancel my order with the steelbook I may regret it later on.

I redeemed through movies anywhere, and my copy is in Vudu, in UHD, and able to play right now

Has anyone received their BB steelbook yet? I got the email that said it was shipped yesterday and the tracking info says it’s at a USPS sorting facility 20 mins away so I’m sure I’ll get it by Monday at least, hoping for this afternoon though when my mail gets delivered!
