I am shocked by how long each of these featurettes is. I'm surprised they didn't just put them all together for one long documentary! This is a great set!

I also find it interesting that there are SIX featurettes not five like the back of the box says.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but at the very end of each Making Of, after the credits, Davis recites a few famous line from each film. kind of a fun way to each segment.

My copy just arrived. Not too bad at all, considering I only chose the economy delivery from Amazon.ca and it had to come over to the UK, but they decided to send it via DHL Express. Though it means I also had to pay VAT :\ Came with the slip.

Making region-free copies for myself seeing as it's locked to A, will *try* and get some screencaps up of 1-6 later

Bit busy, but have done Leprechaun 2, as that looked somewhat muted on the Itunes version, should be able to compare:

Itunes (Upscaled)
Blu-ray

Itunes (Upscaled)
Blu-ray

(Not an exact frame match, but only intended to give a rough idea, 2nd set seems to show the colour changes are much improved, although no longer have the DVD on hand to compare to)

If I get time I'll do more later, think Leprechaun 5 will probably be more interesting to see, as 3 and 4 didn't look too bad to my eyes from the Itunes version.

Leprechaun 3 Comparison

Itunes (Upscaled)

Blu-ray

Not such a big difference, but this always looked pretty good to me, though looking closer, you can make out more detail, hair etc. Can ignore slight colour changes as there's flashing lights in that scene, and it's slightly out anyway.

Will just do some random caps for 1 and 4

Leprechaun 1
Leprechaun 1
Leprechaun 1

Leprechaun 4
Leprechaun 4

edit - added 5 and 6 -

Leprechaun 5
Leprechaun 5
Leprechaun 5

Leprechaun 6
Leprechaun 6
Leprechaun 6

I'm actually quite surprised that Lions Gate made this set so worthwhile, the only thing nitpicky I have is that I wish Warwick Davis did commentaries for all 6

Yeah I got this and the Halloween box set and it's been interesting to watch the two threads and the fans' reactions to them. On the one hand you have a massive, highly anticipated, $100+ box set, and yet that thread is filled with people complaining. Seriously 95% of the posts over there are about the sync issue, or an issue with the price they paid/want to pay, or they're complaining because one or two extras from a previous disc didn't make the jump. Then I come in here and its 30 bucks for 7 movies on 4 discs and it seems like everyone is pretty excited/happy/content with it. But for 30 dollars the Leprechaun collection is an excellent deal and LionsGate added a lot of bonus features when they really didn't have to (including UV copies of all seven flicks, something not even Scream Factory could do with Halloween). It could have been just the films and I think most of us still would've been happy. Anyway, that's a long way of saying I think you're 100% correct! LionsGate absolutely went above and beyond on this one.

That spaceship is a modern marvel of cgi...loved it. Thankfully right after they cut away from the ship I saw Miguel Nunez was in the movie and that instantly made it better.

Just got my copy today, I can't wait to dive in. I love that they actually went out of their way to create those new special features, that's awesome. I don't want to nitpick, but I wish they would of had Warwick Davis record a commentary for all 6 of his films, that would have been a fun extra to have.

Oh well, for 35 bucks it's definitely a worthy pickup.

Exactly. If you are charging over 100 bucks for your set perhaps there should be some quality control.

So fellas, who is the best female lead of these films? I think the one in 3 is.beyond gorgeous, but Jessica Collins in 4 was always my favorite.

Lionsgate priced it right and gave the series a better treatment than anyone was expecting. That makes the fans happy.

Got my set today, and already watched the first one. I honestly didn't remember any of beginning with O'Grady. I even watched it on Netflix earlier this year, didn't remember it then either.

Normally I wouldn't have thought this would have been so good. I hate how Lionsgate does some of their releases. However, this compare to Scream Factory's Halloween set, this was much better!! I really want the Halloween set, but I refuse to pay that much for something with errors, no matter if it's one or a few.

Much better, really? The amount of films, the quality of those films, and the sheer amount of special features on the Halloween set compared to this one outweigh the problems that set had, of which there are few.

No, not in my opinion, and that's all that matters when it comes to ME buying items for MYSELF. However, I do feel special being the only one you targeted with your statement, when I'm clearly not the only one who feels the way I feel.

Screen caps look great for the most part although it looks like there was dnr used for part one.

The screen cap for jennifer aniston looks very artificial.

Thanks s83 for posting screens caps of the movies, (especially for part 2!) I was worried it was going to have the same muted colors as the Itunes version.
