The man with one red shoe.
(Remember when Tom Hanks used to do funny movies.)

I know this is totally OT but I have a question:
Where is the quote: ``I'm not a rapy kinda guy!´´ from?

It's hilarious but can't remember which movie its from! Didn't wanna start a thread for this

I just want to put out Mean Creek. It doesn't have a blu yet and hopefully one day it will, but it's going to be a long time. How the film is filmed and acted is so surreal. It's really fantastic.

Not a "Whole-hearted" full-blown recommendation......

But "Absurtania" was a good one..... silly story, and worth checking out.

Are you sure it's not Aquitania?
Absurtania is not listed on IMDB at all & googling it only results in one answer;
This thread. That's the first time google only gives me one hit...

"Wild in the Streets" is pretty cool 60's cult classic with a very young Richard Pryor on one of his first film appearances!

Interesting thread.

I believe the reason it took so long to get Fanboys released was someone decided the illness theme brought the whole movie down. They tried to recut it to change the reason for raiding Skywalker Ranch but eventually went back to the original cut. The humor is a little too inside to be a mainstream hit but its a hoot for Star Wars fans.

here's a couple movies for this thread

Strange Days - a very under rated sci fi flick from the mind of James Cameron
The Little Girl that Lives Down the Lane - Early Jodie Foster
Searching For Bobby Fischer - A great father and son flick with a chess theme

I can think of three: Ed Wood with Johnny Depp which some of you have probably heard of but has achieved a sort of cult status. Over The Edge (Matt Dillon's first film) and The Wild Child directed by Francois Truffaut and he is also in the film.

In Bruges is fantastic. It's the perfect blend of dark comedy, drama, and even a tad bit of action throw in. I highlu recommend it. Ralp Finnes and Colin Farrel are great.

I loved it. It was odd but had a really great story and fantastic acting by Gleeson and Farrell. I liked the directing too.

My choices would be:

- The Man Who Would Be King (1975) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073341/)

Michael Caine and Sean Connery in a marvelous adventure movie.

- Kukushka or The Cuckoo (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0308476/)

Brilliant movie about two opposing soldiers, who meet before the end of WW2, sheltering in the hut of a woman. They don't understand each other, because of the different languages.

- Kontroll (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0373981/)

Small hungarian gem. "Kontroll in Hungarian refers to the act of ticket inspectors checking to ensure a rider has paid their fare. The story revolves around the ticket inspectors, riders, and a possible killer."

- No man's Land (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0283509/)

"Bosnia and Herzegovina during 1993 at the time of the heaviest fighting between the two warring sides. Two soldiers from opposing sides in the conflict, Nino and Ciki, become trapped in no man's land, whilst a third soldier becomes a living booby trap."

- Bird People in China (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0142181/)

"A young Japanese salaryman is sent by his company to a remote Chinese village to evaluate precious Jade that is found there, but before he arrives meets the yakuza who was sent to tail him to protect his bosses interest in the company."
