I wonder if it was a couple of days or just a matter of hours.
I haven't checked but I'd bet it was a matter of a few posts.

Hey im sorry if this has been asked and answered but is it just my BB or has there been a company policy to not even use HD DVD promo discs in stores. I had stopped to look at it because of the titles that were popping up and i realized that it was for Digital Cable not HD but it was on the on HD DVD player.

Penton-Man is not related to Gabby Hayes (you younger kids, refer to this video):

And he is not, in my estimation, Penton shaped. Discuss.

At the recent WB event you should have asked Warren B. the shape of his solarium and who has the greatest square footage.

I can confirm that I’ve been informed of the same *returns issue* by one major retailer.

Also, for the record, just because Scott Hettrick’s website is funded by Blu-ray friendly parties, that does not mean that his reporting is untruthful or inaccurate. He has been in this business a lot longer than the duration of the high-def war over which time he has established himself as a journalist of honor among people in the biz.

http://www.variety.com/index.asp?lay...&peopleID=1528

I think that whenever he gives personal opinion on a topic, he clearly differentiates that personal opinion from factual reporting.

Thanks.

I feel the same and have defended him recently. He's always a couple of days behind posting news(I assume for fact checking) and its always found to be truthful

From what I've heard it is essentially over right now - AND would never have gone this far if the goddamn lawyers had represented their parties truthfully from the beginning !

Actually, the reps (not practicing attorneys) of each side kinda dislike each other immensely to begin with…… which did not help the situation.

Hey, what did I have to do with it?

Besides, clearly it was all HD DVDs fault. Paramount and Universal can't afford to pay writers... all their money is going to lawyers trying to figure out how quickly they can jump ship without having to give all of Toshiba's money back. Oh, wait. Now I see... I guess it is the lawyers fault!

If only I had a dime for every time that Amir made a post that contained the statement "I am not a lawyer, but........." I would be a very rich man indeed.

Hint: anytime someone starts a sentence that way, disregard everything that follows!

PM,

I asked the same of Bill:

BBuy, Amazon and now Barnes and Nobles(50%off) are all offering HD-DVD deals.

Is this to show the format still has life, or is it good news for BD?

I am trying to ask this in away that you can answer(if thats possible). I feel its good for BD because I see no BD BOGO's to compete.
