It would be interesting to own a 83.3 feet (1,000 inch) Samsung display. The home theater room would need to be very big. More for commercial applications in public places like advertisements. In the future some people predict that new homes well be built with the entire wall being a super thin display for home theater, everyday computer tasks, etc.

8K is practically dead because nobody (except for a few people on these forums) are talking about it. It's not being promoted, no TV advertisements etc, and they're not flying off the shelves like the manufacturers thought. Nobody is buying 8K TVs except the early adopters, who always want the latest and the greatest of every new technology, and that's who the retailers are relying on to buy them. The average Joe Six Pack are not buying 8K TVs not because they can't afford them, they just don't want one, which I can't blame them. Personally I can very easily afford a 8K TV and to me, they're a waste of money. Without the content, a 8K TV can't do no more than what a 4K TV already can do, that cost thousands of dollars less! People are still buying 4K TVs, and they are walking right pass the 8K TVs like they don't exist.

Not a surprise given that 4K broadcast television is still almost non-existent in the US. But there's hope in other places with Japan having an 8K broadcast channel and multiple 4K channels and South Korea also having the latter.

Still, it’s a horrible irony that the actual movies are stuck at 2K while the series is native 4K at the least. |

Give it a few years, I'm sure in 5 years time you won't be able to buy a 4K TV in larger sizes as by then all manufactures will only offer 8K TV's in 65" and larger screens and anything smaller than 65" will still be 4K
