Hello all, i had recently email WB asking if it the release date had been changed and this is the response they gave me.
"Hello Thomas, Thank you for your recent email. The release date for this title has not changed on our website, or in our inventory and it is scheduled for release on 11/03/09. Please feel free to check back with us as this date approaches and we will let you know if changes are made. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us again. Regards, Kris www.WBshop.com 1-866-373-4389" Lets hope the release date stays as is, and hoping that the Extended Editions will come soon like within the next 9 months. Cause this is my favorite trilogy of all time. |

Bill Hunt just confirmed it tonight. I thought it was big enough news to warrant it's own thread.

Yeah to me that is a bogus excuse. How can the biggest Blu-ray release to date get lost in the crowd? Can't they do any better than that?

Had these been the EE releases, the other titles being released in Nov/Dec would be "lost in the crowd", because most Blu owners would certainly make it one of their top titles to buy in the holiday season.
But Warner/Peter Jackson decided to release the theatricals first, so it is what it is. |

Yeah, I don't see this getting lost in the crowd, but the other films getting lost in the crowd. I would have preferred for the other films to be delayed and not this trilogy, but what are you gonna do.

Thanks Underworld54 now I can officially cancel my pre-order and just wait for the EE instead of double dipping. |
