Wasn't there some sort of interview or something recently when Peter Jackson said it might be next year for the EEs? I personally think it'll be before The Hobbit's release.

Or maybe he is being cagey because if he gives a release date and it has to be delayed for some reason, there will be no end to whining about broken promises, etc...especially on this forum.

plus if he gives a release date and it's too close, then folks won't buy these theatrical editions. Or if he gives a release date and it's too far, then folks will be seriously pissed that they have to wait so long for the versions they really want.

I'm gonna wait. I don't shell out $$$ for items that are alllllmost what I want. Too many other titles that can fill the void. It's Extended Editions for me.

Says who? Nobody has any clue when the EE's are coming out. The speculation was they'd come out when The Hobbit hit theaters, but that's before The Hobbit was delayed. Peter Jackson also said that they'd be coming out a year after the theatrical editions, but that was before the theatrical editions were delayed. So nobody knows when they're coming out.

Maybe they are coming up with these unknown answers just to double dip everybody, and watch them come out in 6 months afterwards.

im still pretty damn confused because this is my favorite movie, but ive never seen the EE.
